Chapter- 6
**Flashback**
“How can you do this, John?” Charlotte's mother Frances asked her husband who’s drinking in this evening time skipping his work. He didn’t care about what she’s saying and took another sip from the bottle.
“Please stop drinking this shit,” her mother cried taking away that bottle.
“Give me that fucking bottle,” John warned his wife. But when she didn’t give it he pulled the bottle from her hand and pushed her aside.
“You’re ruining yourself and this family, John,” her mom started crying.
“Shut the fuck up, Frances. You don’t have to tell me what I have to do,” his father gritted in anger because he’s drunk, or else he wouldn’t talk like that.
“This is wrong; you’re not understanding me. Let’s get a divorce I don’t want to waste our daughter’s life.”

**PRESENT**“Ms. Anderson?”Charlotte came out of her thoughts and looked at her colleague Katherine.“Someone is here to meet you,”“Who?” she asked quietly. **PAST**Charlotte poured some milk on her glass and sat on the couch. Today her mom was not well so she’s staying in-home, and her dad went to work. Charlotte suggested that she will skip school today to look after her mom but Frances doesn’t like that idea.Munching the apple, Charlotte reminded of Jaxson, his eyes gave a feeling that she couldn’t put in words. Yesterday after seeing his attitude she felt it’s better to never cross his path thinking he might be a bully.Taking her bag, Charlotte came out of the house. Her mom was sleeping after taking her medicines so she didn’t disturb her. 9.**PRESENT**Charlotte woke up from her slumber, lazily and checked the time on the clock, it showed 7.30 am. Her eyes widened in shock and she got up instantly. 10.Jaxson slightly increased the volume in his music player when Pink’s we will rock you started playing. Charlotte knows it’s his favorite song and slowly turned her eyes to the front mirror. She saw Jaxson humming the lyrics and driving the car enthusiastically. Her lips curled in a smile, she can’t help but remind me about their old times, their first car ride and their kiss, and those passionate moments. Those are always her favorite memories to recall over and over.

11.*Past*It was a normal day in October. The weather is getting colder these days so Charlotte used to wear thick clothes to protect herself from the cold. There's also something that she needs to protect is her heart which becomes too vulnerable whenever she's with Jaxson. She doesn't know why she's feeling like this only with him, she had never felt this way before and it scares her whether she will end up turning her life into a mess. With this thought she went to her class, Jaxson wasn't there on his seat and Charlotte sighed under her breath in relief.

13.*Past*“I really need a day off today, sir,” Charlotte asked her employer Mr. Hanson and he looked at her wondering why this girl is asking for a day off all of a sudden.“Okay, can I know why?” Mr. Hanson asked.“You know, today my friend is participating in a competition and I have to be there to cheer him,” she said. Charlotte doesn’t like to say lies it will make her uncomfortable so said the truth.

14.*Present*Hearing her alarm sound, Charlotte opened her eyes having mild fever and cold. She doesn’t want to wake up so she dozed off again turning off the alarm. But then something knocked on the door to her thoughts.Yesterday, their conversation and his confession came back to her head. She opened her eyes not able to escape from it and huffed in defeat. Charlotte doesn’t know why she cried like that, what gotten into her that time.
