Skyla POV

My mother had done the unthinkable. She fell in love with a human. I did not know her as she died giving birth to me. My father never wanted anyone else, as he still loved her deeply. We had a happy life together, just the two of us. Since we lived on the outskirts of the Seelie realm, we didn't think the Seelies paid attention to us. How wrong we were. I never had any dealings with my mother's people. I spent more time amongst the humans that live close to the border. It also helped that my human blood was more prominent than my Fae blood, and I fitted in easily with them.

I had no idea that the Seelie were evil until the night they killed my father and took me to the Seelie Queen. It didn't take me long to see she was nothing but a spiteful, vindictive-natured bitch. If it weren't for Lisha, I know I would have taken my own life within weeks of being captured. We constantly drew on each other's strength to keep ourselves alive. I start crying as Xavier moves to stand beside me. Tyler embraces Lisha and then stands on the opposite side of me. My tears make it impossible to see the expression on her face, but I recognize her stance, the way she tilts her head to the left as she stares at me. I have seen it before; there is no changing her mind. I step towards her as Xavier grabs my arm; he tightens his grip and stops me.

The air around me becomes heavy, making breathing difficult. Everything feels like it's moving, spinning. My stomach swirls, dizziness overtakes me, and I stumble, falling against Xavier, and he wraps his arms around me. Suddenly my world stops spinning, and my stomach contents rush into my mouth. I gag as I swallow it back down. Xavier smiles at me and whispers,

“The first time is the hardest; It will get easier the more we do it,”

They have taken me to a village. I watch as an older man greets Tyler. Xavier inclines his head toward him as he says,

“That is Mathew; he is Tyler's father and the Alpha of this Pack,”

I turn toward Xavier and ask,

“Who are you two, and how do you know, Lisha?”

He steps closer as he answers,

“I know her grandmother Allana, and Tyler has known her all his life.”

I step back away from him.

“Why have you brought me here, Xavier?”

“It's the safest place for you to be at this time, Skyla. The werewolves will protect you.”

Xavier stops speaking abruptly. I sensed more he wanted to say to me, but Tyler had returned.

"There is a cottage prepared for you, Skyla; it's yours as long as you want it,”

 I

look at Tyler, confusion on my face, as Xavier explains,

“Allana has premonitions; she told Mathew we were bringing you back with us.”

My head spins; what the fuck is going on? Xavier was next to me; he couldn't have heard Mathews and Tyler's conversation.

“Ok, stop right now, I have questions, and I am not going anywhere until I get a few answers.”

Tyler folds his arms across his chest, watching me; Xavier smirks at me and says,

“Make it quick, Skyla. The sooner we get you inside, the safer it will be for all of us.”

“Tyler, you're a werewolf, right,” I ask.

“Yes, I am.”

I raised my eyebrows at him.

“I take it that's all you're going to tell me,” he nods, "yes."

Frustrated, I look at Xavier and ask,

“Ok, so exactly what are you?”

His lips tug up in a slight smile exposing his fangs as he says,

“I am a vampire.”

My eyes widen in shock as I look at them. Tyler is growling as he becomes impatient. He turns away before I can say anything else, motioning for me to follow him. Tyler and Xavier take me to a small log cottage in the middle of the village. Tyler opens the door for me; as I enter, he says,

“I have things that need my attention. Xavier will stay and answer any other questions you have.”

When Tyler leaves, I enter the cabin; it has one large room with a kitchen to my left and a stone fireplace with two large armchairs on my right. Against the opposite wall is a large four-poster bed. I walk over to it running my hands across the wood; its beautiful mahogany color has darkened to a deep red with age. I pull the dark green curtains closed, smiling to myself. Beside the bed is the door that leads to a small bathroom and laundry. I stepped back, colliding with Xavier.

My heart starts to race as my body comes into contact with his. My instincts are screaming at me to run, but I can't; something is drawing me to him. I don't think as I lean into him. I have never met anyone like him. He exudes a level of danger that excites me. His eyes devour me. I lower my eyes, not wanting him to see how much his presence affects me. I cannot help feeling aroused; warmth spreads through my core. What the fuck is wrong with me? I look up at him.

“I need to know why you saved me, Xavier?”

He places his hands on my waist, pulling me close.

“You are my mate Skyla. I was never going to leave you behind.”

My heart races as I move away from him and ask.

“How could you possibly know that we only met a couple of hours ago?”

“Can't you feel it?”

I frown,

“I don't know what I feel.”

Xavier hasn't taken his eyes off me; it's unnerving; I need a distraction, something to do with my hands. I walk into the kitchen, asking,

“Would you like a cup of coffee? Do you even drink coffee, Xavier?”

He smiles.

“Yes, I do, Skyla, I prefer blood, but if coffee is all that's on offer, I will settle with that.”

My mind drifts back to earlier this afternoon; all I can see is Lisha standing by the stream, watching as we leave her behind. My voice trembles as I look at Xavier and whisper,

“I left Lisha there; what type of person does that to their only friend?”

Xavier moves closer and wraps his arms around me.

“From what I have been told about Lisha in the last two years, Skyla, she would not have let you remain in the Seelie court.”

I know what  Xavier is saying is true, but it doesn't make it easier to deal with my guilt. He bends, running his hands down my back until he reaches the middle of my back, and whispers,

“We will get Lisha back, Skyla.”

I wrap my arms around his neck and say,

“Are you sure we are mates?”

He nods,

“You're mine, and I will never let you go.”

I take a deep breath and whisper,

“I need to feel something other than pain, Xavier.”

He tilts his face closer to mine, and our lips touch softly. My breath catches as he kisses me; I part my lips and feel his tongue caressing my lips. Pleasure rippled through me as he nibbled my bottom lip, running kisses down my neck. My blood feels like it is on fire. I arch my back and press myself closer to him, wanting to feel every inch of him. He lifts me up, and I wrap my legs around his waist, squeezing them tightly, pulling him closer as I grind against his groin.

Arousal builds in my core; Xavier lays me on the bed as he stands to undress. I run my hands down my stomach, opening my legs. I slip two fingers inside my panties as I watch him. I smile at him and spread my legs wider. I run my fingers along with the opening of my pussy. I slip them inside, then run them slowly along my clit. I groan and move my fingers in a circular motion across my clit.  Xavier grabs my hand, stopping me, as he tears my panties off and then lowers his head between my thighs. Grabbing my hips, he lifts me higher, thrusting his tongue deep inside the folds of my pussy. I moan as I grab his hair pulling him deeper inside me. He moves slightly, pushing his fingers inside me while sliding his tongue along my clit. I moan as my pleasure increases. He raises his head, looking at me as he rips the rest of my clothes off me. His eyes are glowing, getting darker the more aroused he becomes.

I shiver slightly as his gaze wracks my body. I need to have his cock inside me. I reach for him and pull him towards me. He slowly enters me. My pussy stretches around his length, gripping his cock  tightly. He groans, thrusting faster as I move against him. Xavier starts to kiss me slowly along my throat. I feel his fangs pierce my neck. Two tiny pinpricks, then every part of my nerves heightens, and exquisite pleasure runs through every aspect of me, settling in my core as my orgasm erupts, shattering my mind and body—Xavier groans as he spills his seed deep inside me.

Xavier has fallen asleep; I lay my head on his chest, and he moves, tightening his hold on me.

I have never felt this way about someone until I met Xavier. I smile and snuggle closer to him; I have a chance to build a new life here with Xavier, and I intend to grasp it with both hands and never let go.

Lisha POV It's been two years since Allana’s death, Tyler has never asked how it was possible I left the Unseelie realm and returned home with him, and I have never told him. Damian’s and my son Nate was born a couple of months after we returned home; he is a beautiful little boy with the same deep-set chocolate brown eyes as his father, olive skin, and a head full of curly brown hair. Nate and Asher will grow into extremely handsome men; I can see them breaking many hearts before they find their true mates. Nate and Asher adore Tyler, and he is a fantastic father; he treats both our boys as his own. The first thing Tyler, Xavier, Skyla, Tiffany, and I did was build a meeting house in the center of the four realms. Every three months, we come together as representatives for our species and discuss any issues that may arise. Each kingdom has two representatives for the Unseelie, Zane and I; the werewolves, Tyler and Mateo; the vampires, Xavier and Skyla; and the Unseelie, Tiffany, an

Tyler POV Lisha winks at me and whispers, “No matter what happens, hold the circle.” She moved closer to Allana while reaching behind her back and placing my hand in Skyla’s. A dense fog was rolling in from every direction; a cold chill crept up my back, and the hairs on my neck and arms stood up. I knew there was someone behind me, but I didn't dare to turn my head and have a look. Lisha smirked as the fog grew thicker and denser; Allana was so confident in her abilities that she refused to consider for one moment we could beat her. Allana hissed, her eyes glancing at each of us as she snarled, “You can't beat me, you foolish girl.” Lisha's laughed softly. Only the people closest to her knew what that particular laugh meant; it always sent shivers down my spine. She looked at Allana and whispered, “I am not trying to beat you, Allana; you wanted power, and I am going to give it to you.” Allana's eyes narrowed as she stared at Lisha, her lips twisting into an ugly smile as

Lisha POV Tyler and I woke early, we had a feeling that someone had betrayed us, and we were right. Xavier, Skyla, Tyler, and I knew what was coming, but no one else did; the fewer who knew what we intended to do, the better. Tyler made short work of Anton, the warrior who told Allana we were here; he was one of Dimitri’s wolves, I knew we should have killed the lot of them when we killed Dimitri, but Tyler wanted to believe that they were loyal to us, so he did. Sometimes it's better to learn the hard way than be made aware of the truth by someone else, even if you love that person wholeheartedly. The day we have been waiting for is finally here; we leave Mathew's cabin under cover of darkness. The one hundred wolves Tyler brought with him will stay hidden inside Mathew's village until everyone else arrives. Then they will join us in the procession to where Allana, Xavier, and Skyla were supposed to be waiting for us. We could hear Allana’s people getting organized for everyone to

Xavier POV Allana’s guards line the path leading up to her castle, each one holds a staff with a purple and black flag on the top of it, and Allana is standing regally at the bottom of the castle steps, a sweet smile on her face as she watches Skyla and I walk toward her. Skyla tugs on my shirt sleeve, murmuring, “You had better wipe that disgusted look off your face before we get too close to her.” I give myself a shake and remember why we are here, “She extravagant.” Skyla chuckles, “That she is; now smile sweetly for your bitch of a grandmother and lavish her with praise.” Allana takes a step closer to us, opening her arms wide; embracing Skyla and then me as she says, “I am so glad you are here; come inside, and I will give you a tour of my home.” The beauty of the castle and grounds are breathtaking; gardens are scattered everywhere, filled with flowers of every color and description imaginable. The castle itself has been constructed out of white limestone, and heav

Tyler POV Xavier glanced back over his shoulder at me once before Skyla, his vampires, and he stepped into Allana’s realm, my wolves and I didn't have to wait long before my father stood before me, motioning for us to follow him. I whispered, “Won't Allana become suspicious if our not with Xavier?” He shakes his head, “No, she only required Zane to escort Xavier, Skyla, and his vampires into the realm.” I grinned, “How is Lisha?” He smiled, “Good, she is safely hidden inside my cabin.” After my wolves were taken to their quarters, I left them in my father's care and went to see Lisha. Lilly opened the door of my father's house and stepped to one side before leaving; I frowned, “Where are you going, Lilly?” Lilly hesitated before glancing up at me and murmuring, “I thought you and Lisha might like some time alone.” I smirked and moved out of her way; Lilly is and has always been one of the worst liars I have ever met, Lisha has been up to something, and I need to fin

Lilly POV Lisha smiled as she walked toward us; when I asked her what had happened, she frowned and said, “You saw what happened, Lilly.” I shook my head.“No, we couldn't see or hear anything.” She smirked, “That's probably for the best.” This is her answer; that's probably for the best; what the hell is that supposed to mean? I grabbed Lisha’s arm as she went to walk past me and whispered, “Are you going to me? What happened in there, Lisha?” She blew out a breath and whispered, “It's getting light, Lilly. We need to get back to Mathews.” I growled, “How the hell am I supposed to protect you if you don't tell me anything.” Lisha glanced back the way she came for a moment, then turned back to me and whispered, “When we get back to Mathew's house, I will tell you everything, but if we don't go now, someone will see us.” Lisha raised her eyebrows and inclined her head in Zane and Matthew's direction; there was no point in arguing with her any longer; her expression alone
