Thaddeus POV
"Go upstairs." When I said that, she took a deep breath and looked at me with doubt in her eyes. "Fine, just stay here." I added.
I know she doesn't want to go upstairs because there are one hundred steps between her room and the top of the stairs—poor woman.
"Armano, let's talk outside, privately." I walked outside, and Armano followed behind me.
The atmosphere outside was chilly and breezy, and there were many tall trees to be seen. The wind was gently brushing our skin. When I looked him in the eyes, I noticed he already had a pair of red eyes. He tried to rein himself in so that he would not make me angry this time.
"We vowed to the council of vampires that we would never interact with any human being again, and we have done our best to remain out of their way, but look at you now...you're keeping her in your new territory!" Armano stated.
My response was even-keeled: "It should no longer be your concern."
"Really?" Armano let out a snort. "If there is somebody who will find out about it—"
"Then I'm going to have to blame you. Leave, Armano." I opened the gate with the wind and said, "Don't bother me anymore," to which he responded by staring furiously at me. "If you let anyone know about it, the implications will be disastrous for you."
"Are you trying to scare me?"
"No, it's only a warning,"
He vanished as suddenly as a gust of wind, and even though I could still smell him, he was nowhere to be found.
When I turned back, my eyes widened as I saw Catalina standing outside with a shocked expression on her face. She was in such a state of shock that she was trembling while holding a knife in her hand, and her face was as white as a sheet of paper.
As I approached her, I asked, "So what? Are you going to kill me now? I'm already dead, Catalina."
She dropped the knife and then broke down, sobbing in front of me while she was huddled over her knees in fear.
"What… What exactly are you?" She rose up and stared intently into my soulless eyes.
"You already knew about it." I went inside, but she followed me in; when I turned around to face her, she had already grabbed my arm. Holy crap, this woman was like a magnet, trying to pull me closer to her without even giving me a chance to blink.
"Why don't you tell me about it?"
"And what for? You know too much, but I cannot kill you."
"Are you…" She sucked in her breath so forcefully and bit her lower lip before uttering a few words. "Are you a vampire?"
"Oh my God, I had no idea that Vampires are still around today...I mean, they are just a myth, but you are real..." She let out a nervous sigh.
"I'm a killer, Catalina. When you stand in front of me, I can smell how good your blood is, and I want to lick and bite you until you tell me to stop." I whispered as I gently gripped her waist and drew her closer.
"But I can't do that. I'm doing my best not to kill you," then I pushed her gently. “I need to stay away from you…or I may not be able to control myself.” Then in an instant, I left like the speed of a wind in front of her.

Catalina’s POV
I let out a faint gasp as I tried to process the information that the person who had saved my life was actually a vampire. I want to reassure him that everything is going to be well, that I won't tell anyone else about him, and that I accept him just as he is. But I was startled and shocked in front of him, and I couldn't say what I wanted to make him feel better because I couldn't say it.
Even though he tried to avoid being around me, he ended up taking care of me over the past several days, and if it weren't for him, I would have passed away by now.
"Say something; where are you?" I talk to the wind, and I've looked all over the mansion to find him, but I can't find him. He was avoiding me.
Salvatore came in and said, "He already left..."
"Yes, but why?" My voice was shaky. If he left because I knew who he really was, then I have no reason to stay here. I need to face my problems in life and the people who betrayed me. I tried my best not to cry, and I walked away.
"Catalina, it's dangerous for you to go into the woods by yourself."
"I'm sorry, but I need to go back where I belong. Tell him, I am grateful for everything he did to me.”
Even though it was dark, I ran into the woods. I just want to know where the road is so I can figure out how to get home. I have to get what is mine. I won't let them have the best life while I'm miserable and have no one to count on.
I cried out in pain because the pain in my heart was too much to bear. My dad had left me, and my savior had also left me. I feel like I only have myself.
I was walking down the road by myself when a car pulled up. It was a group of men who were looking at me from head to toe.
"Hi, princess! Why have you chosen to be by yourself? Do you want to tag along?" A bearded man asked me and got out of the car.
I kept my distance because I didn't trust them; it's weird how I don't trust humans, yet I have total trust in Thaddeus.
"No, I am not alone."
When he grabbed my arm, I yelled at him, "Let go of me!"
"Boys, step out of the car, we are going to have a party tonight with this little princess...."
A screeching black tinted car arrived, and it was….Thaddeus.
Catalina’s POVEverything happened so quickly, and the three men ran away as soon as they spotted Thaddeus staring at them as if he were about to kill them. Then the other two men left screamed in anguish as they tried to attack Thaddeus, giving the impression that Thaddeus's stare was deadly. After that, Thaddeus drove the car at an extremely high rate of speed. I saw him as he became increasingly enraged, and the crimson in his eyes made him appear to be a vicious monster.I cleared my throat nervously and asked, "Could you please calm down?!"I am not used to riding in a car that goes that fast. I am not used to it. In spite of the fact that my hands were shaking, I was able to put on my seatbelt, and he said, "Tell me one thing to calm down! Do I have to turn around and kill each and every one of them?""No…" I took a few heavy breaths as I gazed in his direction, and then I noticed that he had pulled the car over to the side of the road, where he was still fiercely gasping. I cou
Catalina’s POVI cleared my throat as I looked into his menacing eyes. I moved away from him, hoping he wasn't a vampire and that what I thought wasn't real. That this was only a nightmare, but it wasn't. Thaddeus pulled me closer to him and looked around. "We have to go, there are vampire hunters everywhere," he said.He held the steering wheel, and I buckled my seatbelt nervously, hoping this would end soon. I stare at him, and he glances across at me without making any kind of facial emotion. He floored the accelerator pedal to get the vehicle moving at top speed. As we pulled up to his magnificent estate, the sky was as black as midnight, no stars were visible, and clouds covered the horizon in a dull gray. There is no one there, not even Salvatore, and it is really lonely to dwell in this mansion alone without anyone else. But it might be better to be alone than surrounded by horrible people. As he unlocked the metal door leading into the room, he questioned, "Are you scared?"I
Catalina's POV Salvatore exploded in rage and said. "You are not allowed to marry her! Because of her, you are putting yourself in danger of being attacked by humans." He has made up his mind that he will never interact with another human being again. I don't know why, but it could be because he had a harrowing encounter with human beings in the past. After taking a few slow, deep breaths, I heaved a sigh and said, "I am sorry for causing any trouble in your clan, Thaddeus... You are not required to do this or marry me to protect me from them." I can't help but shake my head when I consider how much better it would have been to confront the people who wished for my death and have an attorney at my side as I took the inheritance. "No. I will marry you." Thaddeus muttered before clenching his palm and casting a quick glance toward Salvatore. "Get everything ready for tomorrow, and invite the Vampire Clan as well as my family. They should know that I have finally found my human mate."
Catalina’s POV Today, a white gown dress was delivered to the villa, and by astonishment, I spotted many unfamiliar individuals outside. After a while, I discovered that all these people were Thaddeus' family and friends. They never become old, which contributes to their overall attractiveness. They all have this mesmerizing and incredibly attractive appearance, yet despite their beautiful looks, they can be dangerous. I tilted my head down because I did not want to look any of them in the eyes. Thaddeus warned me not to stare at them, so I refrained from doing so. The woman with fair skin, fiery red hair, and a tall, slender build came up to me with a friendly smile. She grabbed my wrist and grinned again, and greeted me softly. "Hello..." "Hey," I greeted her as I caught a glimpse of her. As we made our way to the ground and majestic balcony, she questioned me while gently chuckling, "Are you the Vampire's Bride?" I was stunned by her question, and she saw how I reacted. "By
555Catalina’s POV I went carefully as the music began to play in the background, and everyone was clothed in a formal dress. Some men gazed at me as though they were ready to devour me simply by the look of their thirsty eyes, and as I looked around, I saw others wearing fancy dresses. The older man dressed as a priest greeted me with a friendly expression. As I approached the aisle, Thaddeus smiled at me. The priest said, "We are here united in the union of Catalina Sullivan and Thaddeus Gualtiero's wedding day...." then he continued. I felt like so many eyes watched my every move throughout the ceremony. Since I couldn't even move freely, I felt paralyzed in the middle of the event until I heard the priest say, "You are now husband and wife....you may kiss the bride." My pupils dilated as Thaddeus leaned in closer to me and clasped my face with his other hand. He took a few deep breaths and kissed my lips for an extremely long time. When I tried to stop him, he did not stop mov
Catalina’s POVAs we were leaving the grand villa, I heard a few gunshots, and Thaddeus held my hand tightly and put his hand on my eyes. He covered my eyes and ears so I wouldn't hear those vampires' screams or the humans' screams coming from the surrounding area. "Salvatore, have the plane ready to go tonight. They shouldn't be able to find me and figure out who I am." Salvatore nodded his head and pushed the pedal to speed up the car. I moaned anxiously and drew away from Thaddeus. "Are they humans?" "Yes, they are but they know a lot about us. They are trained to kill vampires." Salvatore drove us inside the forest, where we found an empty lot and a huge private plane that had been waiting for us there. "There's no reason for us to leave the country—" he cut me off, and I stared doubtfully at him. Thaddeus put his hand on my wrist and said, "We have to. Even though my adversary tries to track me down, they are still unaware of who I am. It is in our best interest to hide
Catalina’s POV"I'm not…." I cried all the time in front of him. He told me in a loud voice, "Yes, you are! This is who I am!" "I'm sorry," I said, as tears slowly rolled down my face. "I can't believe you killed them for me...." "Catalina, you need to stop resisting this life and start living it. This is your choice!” Thaddeus said as he left me outside."T-Thaddeus wait…." Then, after a short time, he had already cleaned up the mess inside and burned the bodies. I just can't face him right now. I witnessed him slay those vampires; the dark blood on the floor made me want to throw up. I slowed down and took deep breaths while I thought about him. As I came across him in the kitchen drinking his daily sustenance, which consisted of the blood of an animal, I held my breath and bowed my head as I headed upstairs while being terrified of him. The next second, he suddenly stood in front of me and asked, "Do you want to eat something?" I slightly shook my head and gasped. "No, I'm n
Catalina’s POV"You invited her? for what?" Arthur asked with irritation, and I wanted to laugh out loud because I had just destroyed their party. Jessica glared at her son, "Don't raise your voice at me, Arthur. Get inside, and we can talk about it!" Then Jessica glanced at me, her expression smoothened. "Oh dear, I will just leave you here, okay?" Thaddeus, hold my hand while we find a seat for us, I murmured with a smile. "I just messed up their evening." "Catalina, they are all angry at you. Be careful." Thaddeus said. The waiter came over and brought us each a glass of wine. I grinned at him since it was Peter, who had worked for our family for many years. "I was worried that something bad had happened to you, Miss Catalina." "Peter, nothing unpleasant ever happened to me." I gave him a kind smile and then tapped his shoulder. He asked, "Do you still want to run your dad's company?" I nodded and said, "Well, I was going to sell it." He looked shocked, and his eyes got bigg
