Dirty Little Heart

“So, where are you from? Amazing.” “Here’s another one. “ Where are you from” is the same question everyone asks. I don’t mind answering if you don’t think about how your father and uncle molested you. Yeah, well, a little tough Angelica May survived. California, I smile and answer the stranger next to me, who’s been trying to get into my pants for the last half hour. I’ve always wanted to go there. The stranger says. Yeah, with an attitude like that, you’re gonna have a good time. I think to myself. “Can I get you a drink, please?” Ugh, would they ever stop? It’s the same attitude for all the guys. They’re still saying the same forging pickup line like they have a chance. Sure, I don’t mind having a one-night stand. But sometimes we need only the real intimacy that most men don’t have. Just as I’m about to say no, a voice comes from behind me. “It will not happen, bro.” I turn to see who has such an aggressive, deep voice that I like to hear when I’m in bed. The voice that

The sunlight is shining directly into my eyes, and my eyes flutter.I wake up and I see a modern wooden table that isn't mine. I immediately start thinking about what I did last night. Suddenly I feel something on my waist.I move the bedsheet just a little to see what it is, and it turns out it's the perfect answer to what I did last night.I turn to see who it was and damn it, it starts coming back to me. All of it.How perfect last night was, how he made me feel, how seductive his touch was.He would be my first choice if I wanted to have a serious relationship. But I guess not every guy wants what he wants.Time to sneak out, I think to myself.I pull aside his hand smoothly and slip out of bed.I pick up my heels, look for my jacket and walk out of the room.As I slip one on my heel in my foot, my eyes get called by a photo frame of him and a woman on the kitchen counter. At that moment, all I could think was, He's married? That's why I'll never have a serious relationship again.

Are you sure you don’t know who that is? Asks Nat.Of course. I reply.I don’t know how they got my number or who this person is.All I know is I won’t Give a damn about it.Well, as stupid as it sounds it can be your secret lover texted you from his office.Wait what? Do you think Jonathan is texting me?I ask.Well, given you two having the worst tension in the whole history today, he might want to have one last fling with that body of yours.I seriously can’t realise if you’re just being nice or being flirty. I say as I make my way to my room.Oh come on, you know it’s true. She follows up behind me.I slip into bed and Look at that text again.I see Nat leaning against the door, crossing her arms and looking straight at me.Okay, jokes apart. Whoever he is, don’t try and do something foolish okay? You’ve got a great life and a nice job now. You can’t have distractions. If you want a relationship, be in a real one.Can I go to sleep now?Nat scoffs and rolls her eyes at me before s

It's been almost a week since I last saw him. From that day, Nat has been picking up and dropping me off every single day, Juts to know whether I safely reached my workplace or not.I couldn't ask for more. No one knows what I'm going through.Yes, I could go to the police. But the only bullsh*t that I will have to face is the lack of evidence.I would have turned him in long before I found out about his true colours. Let's just say I wasn't brave back then. Thinking about Moving here to California gave me the spirit that I need to build as soon as I knew this was wrong. But I guess changing my real Identity was not enough.I didn't see Jonathan the past week as well. All I knew is that Cooper Inc's throwing a big ball for their new merging and cooperation with "Zala Enterprises". All I knew about it was they were all fashion based and they were having a fashion show as a thank you and welfare of both parties. And of course, I was invited.Nat strictly forbids me from going there alon

Nat makes us both a hot cup of coffee as she hands out our cups. She sits down right in front of me and stares at me, trying to get to talk now. "So?" "So what?" "What happened, Angie?" "Nothing happened, okay? Will you just let it go?" I get up in frustration as I never wanted to have this conversation in front of Ethan. But I guess he's just as involved as he is now. "Let this go? I called you and your phone was switched off, I tried to call your office number and there were no answers, I finally get a call back from you and you tell to drive back home?" Do you think that I'm gonna be okay like this? Pretending as if nothing happened? How can you even ask me that? "Alright, God. I'm sorry okay? I shout at her instantly regretting that I shouldn't." I look at Ethan who realised that I wanted him to go outside so I could talk to Nat alone. "I'll be outside on the balcony," he says as he walks out of the room. ------After a few minutes-------- "Hey" I come up from
