Xavier skimmed through the menu, trying to select what to eat, and instead of doing the same, I just stared at him as if he’ll disappear if I take my eyes away from him.

“Like what you see?” Xavier asked huskily, the menu and the waitress long gone. I didn’t even order anything. “I know that I’m devilishly handsome, but I didn’t think it was enough to hypnotize you like that.”

This man’s ego is bigger than I can imagine. Snorting in an unladylike manner, I pushed back to my seat. “Don’t flatter yourself, Xavier. Yes, you’re a good sight for the eyes, but hypnotizing? That’s just your man ego speaking.”

He laughed throatily at my words. “You’re the only one who can insult my man's honor and I’ll still find it irreversible sexy.” Xavier crossed his hands. “You’re lucky that I love you.”
