Laurie gives Lydia and Casey one last hug before letting them leave with the promise that they would be back as soon as they had the time.

Her friends had stayed for three days and as much as she missed them and loved having them with her, their presence did nothing to quell her need to go to Kate. The woman was all she could think about and the longer she stayed away, the more she felt the need to see her.
