Chapter 07

"I got the job!" Cara yelled and hugged a surprised Sally.

"You got a job? When?" Harry asked obviously unaware of the situation. Sally and Cara looked at each other, Sally nudged her head towards him and Cara understood.

"Umm, the thing is....I got a job as a cook at a restaurant," Cara replied staring at the floor at the same time watching him through her lashes.

"Why didn't you inform me?" Hurt evident in his tone, Cara instantly felt guilty.

"You'd do everything possible to change my mind and I don't want that," she concluded. Harry knew better than to scold her afterall this is what every responsible lady would do instead of sitting around doing nothing.

"I won't scold you, but if this job is what you want then good luck," he gave up on the issue, "but to think that Sally was with you on this? She didn't inform me," Amusement flashed in his brown.

"How could I tell you? You'd only refuse besides I don't see why she can't work, maybe she might meet her true love there or something,
