After a moment the surgeon strolled out of his office and headed to the ICU to check on Kendall's mom.

Kendall hurriedly stood up and walked towards him, “Dr. Mark, I didn't have the chance to thank you for helping my mom. And also for letting me witness the surgery. Thanks a lot.”

She said still following Dr. Mark, when he got to the front of the ICU, Kendall was stopped.

“You can't come in with me, only watch from outside, the patient's body is still delicate and the hospital can't risk her being contaminated,”

“ But I’m her daughter, can I just come in with you, for some second please,” she pleaded.

“No Ma’am, you can't come in, your mother's body is still weak, you will have to remain in the hallway, the only people authorized to come in are medical staff, she will be sent to the private room soon, you will have all your time with your mom, just not now,” he assured her.
