Meeting With Jack

Kendall has faced a lot of hardships in life but she always had a positive outlook and believes that she will pull through, she just needs to find the silver lining.

Tom continued calling her names, and she realized there was no silver lining to this death sentence. Tom has always been her pillar. Tears flow down her eyes as it dawns on her that this is the end of her pathetic life. She has just lost her boyfriend because she wasn't careful enough to see that her step-sister didn't mean well for her, she was only showing love out of her selfish interest. Now she has no option but to marry a man she doesn't even remember how he looks or knows his name.

“Truly there is no light at the end of the tunnel, just darkness”. She murmured

Her mother is lying in the hospital bed with no money for treatment and the only way to get money is by marrying a total stranger, she knows nothing about.

Mr. Smith walked closer to Kendall and asked what are you thinking, don’t play any tricks, Jack Johnson is coming tomorrow to meet up with you, you will him tomorrow, the Johnson family is very responsible and one the wealthiest in our country, if you marry him, you will enjoy endless fortune, Jack might be a looser but they will take of you. He even promised to pay for your mother's treatment, or were you thinking I would pay for the treatment of that good-for-nothing mother of yours? I don't care about you because that’s what I'm doing now, so get ready for tomorrow.

“You called selling me off to a loser and a freeloader, being caring and concerned,” she said as she stared at me scornfully

Tina burst in, “ What! you don’t want to marry him?” She asked

“Why don’t you marry him yourself,” she replied

“I’m not pregnant for him,” she said, smiling.

“You think I’m a puppy that you can manipulate, you evil beast”

“Kendall, if you dare turn down this marriage, I will make sure the hospital throws your mother out,” he said angrily.

“ You already accepted, why the change?” he asked furiously.

“I never said I wouldn’t marry him, can you people stop throwing it at my face?”

“All of a sudden, you people now care so much about my life.” She said.

Jack was discussing the development with his friend, Sam, they were childhood friends and are very close. “You don't know the situation here, I didn’t sleep with her willingly, It was just an accident,

“But you slept with her right?”

“You don't have any feelings for her, even a little bit?”

“Honestly, I feel something for her, which is very strange,”

“ I even searched for her, but the confusing part was that the person I thought was her happened to be her step-sister and it all made sense, the hotel incident was a setup, and her step-sister was behind it.”

She is the illegitimate daughter of the Smith family and has a sick mom in the hospital.

“Since she’s pregnant for you, it is right you marry her, knowing that you are the only man she has slept with, her being an illegitimate child has nothing to do with the present,” he advised

“I never enunciated I won’t marry her, I already agreed to marry her and to pay for my mother's medical treatment but I still think she is a total stranger and I’m in a rush. I didn’t even get to know a little about her because her evil step-sister booked the hotel room we slept at that night”.

“Since you are so bent on me marrying her, get prepared, we are going to see her tomorrow.

The next morning, Mr Smith got Kendall prepared for the meeting. A makeup artist made her up and she was brought to wear a gown the makeup artist came with.

Mr Smith made sure Kendall returned with them to the Smith family the previous day.

Suddenly a few cars drove into the mansion and Kendall’s eyes widened

They quickly put the finishing touches on her looks and dress. She walked in to meet Jack Johnson.

Immediately she stepped in, everyone's eyes broadened, she was looking so pretty.

Jack stood up and reached for her hand. “I’m not marrying you,” she said.

Before he could say a word. Kendal ran out, and Mr Smith asked his servant to go after her and carry her back dead or alive.

Hearing those words Jack's face darkened and he left the place trying to catch up with her.

The servant ran after her and soon they caught her and insisted she come back with them.

She refused, making them drag her not minding her present state.

Jack drove past them and stopped, he pulled them out and hit one of the servants on his ankles.

How dare you?” Jack yells. "didn’t you notice she was pregnant?” he asked

Then he turned to Kendall.

"Are you okay?" he asks and She slowly nods, still confused about his sudden presence.

The servant with the broken ankle yells in pain, crumpling to the ground.

"You just broke my ankle, you good, for nothing freeloader.” The servant shouted

The pain was writing on Jack's face. His gaze sweeps through the three servants and he stares at them for a few seconds before he shifts to her.

“Can I talk to you for a minute,” he asked

“Sure,” she replied and got into his car.

“Thanks for your help,” she said

She glanced at him and saw how handsome he was. She didn’t get a chance to look at him very well that night at the hotel. Still admiring him, she thought “It a pity that his personality did not match up to his good looks”.

“Since we can’t undo what we did, I have to take responsibility for your pregnancy and marry you”. He said.

“I don’t think it is necessary,” Kendall replied.

“I need to marry you, I can’t let our unborn child become an illegitimate child.” He replied.

“If you agree we can drive to the court and sign the marriage documents.” He continued.

This is a good opportunity for you to pay for your mother’s treatment and also have a home of your own.
