Dominic's POV

A sardonic laughter escaped my lips. Watching her break down wasn't as pleasing as I expected it to be, and that's because of the fucking after bond.

I really want her to suffer, yet I can't help but pity her.

She wasn't useful any longer. Now that I know Alessandra is closer than before, I might get to her faster.

Yet, I wasn't ready to kill Lucy!

Killing her means killing a part of me, and this made me wonder if Alessandra knew Lucy was my mate.

I shook my head slightly. There was no way she found out about it.

Lucy doesn't even know what a mark is, talk less of mate. She was just doing what she was told to do.

"Fine, then! If it's death you want, I'll gladly do it," I declared.

Lucy shot up. Her eyes held onto this despair that makes me want to rethink my decision. Maybe killing her would be the best option.

Just as I moved forward, Kaden bellowed in my head. 'Don't. You. Dare!'

He was trying to fight for control.

I grunted. This fucking bastard!

I wonder why Selene

Hazel's POV Elara pushed me to go home early. I was quite skeptical, but since she said she would do it herself, then I didn't mind a little rest before the children came in.Turning the knob, the door creaked open. It was very dark inside, as if someone intentionally turned off the light. I switched it on, and to my surprise, I found a cardboard hung up on the ceiling.Written on it was, 'I am sorry, Hazel!' I rolled my eyes in annoyance. Liam is coming up with crazy ways to make me forgive him, but my mind is set already.I locked the door behind me and started making my way to the room. The kitchen light was turned off, but there was some minimal light in there as if a candle was lit, and the scent was different.I groaned internally. 'What the heck is he planning!' I was about to ignore it, so I proceeded to switch on the light in the corridor, and I saw another piece of cardboard that said I shouldn't ignore the dimly lit kitchen. I was surprised and annoyed. Swiftly turning a

Elara's POVThe kids came over this evening, and the house was lively. Maya and I were playing some house games while Mason kept Riley occupied."We don't have to go this way. This race is harder than I'd thought," Mason grumbled, dropping the game pad on the table. He'd been defeated again, and frustration is taking over his emotions.Riley chuckled. "This is what you face when starting a game. It's sheer luck you win the first five trials, but to be a master, then you'd have to practice consistently," he advised. The young boy pulled his lips in a sulky pout. "But daddy wouldn't let me play games for this long. How then am I going to be perfect?" he asked innocently. My mate leaned back on the sofa. "You can play during the holiday. I could teach you, but on one condition," he proposed.Mason stared excitedly. "What condition, Uncle Riley?" he inquired."That you would excel in all your papers," Riley answered, and the lad eagerly nodded his head."Yes, I promise to do well. If I do

Liam's POV"Hazel asked for a divorce," I dropped the bomb. Apparently, Riley saw through my facade and noticed something was wrong with me.He dropped the file that was in his hands, giving me his full attention."What? Why?" he questioned. "She didn't say anything. She got mad at me and asked me not to speak to her," I groaned. My wolf is anxious. He wants me to go meet her and ask why she asked for a divorce.I couldn't sleep last night. I was dead tired, yet her words made me wide awake. I came home yesterday to apologize and to also spend time with her. I just don't know which of my actions hurt her."There is no way she would ask for a divorce without you doing anything. What did you do to her?" He sat down on my desk, his gaze never leaving mine.I smacked my lips together, rubbing my eyes. "I shouted at her a few days ago. She was trying to know about my day, but I was stressed out about Adam and his kid. I told her to let go, but she didn't want to, and that resulted in me s

Hazel's POV "Daddy," the kids called as they ran towards their father. I was about to tuck them to bed when he came into the room. I stared at him blankly before dropping the duvet on the bed.The kids interacted with their father as I walked out of the room, not even acknowledging his presence. I felt his gaze as I passed by, but Liam couldn't leave the kids to come meet me.I just don't want to be in the same vicinity as him. His scent laced with my anger, and I end up getting more annoyed and also remembering Alessandra. The room was oddly quiet, and I had picked up a pillow ready to move to the guest room. As I was about to leave, I met him standing at the door. I rolled my tongue, frowning. "Where are you going?" Liam asked. He had a confused expression on.His gaze landed on the pillow I was holding, and he clenched his teeth. He was feeling remorseful. "Hazel," he called, but I ignored him.I tried to push him away, but he stayed rooted to the ground. "Let me pass," I said in

Dominic's POV I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. My head has been banging, and it's making me anxious. My vision was blurry, but I managed to make it to the bathroom. It's very odd for me to wake up with a migraine, especially when I slept very early yesterday.I groaned, splashing water on my face. My reflection stared back at me. I twitched my lips. A little bit better because the headache had reduced.Kaden yawned. He seemed oddly happy, and for a reason I had doubts. He's been kept in confinement for three days now, with each morning raging furiously, and today, he isn't angry.I brushed it to the back of my mind because I have so many important things to focus on. Anything that would keep me from thinking about the woman that is three rooms away from mine.Alessandra managed to escape. I kept Liam informed on it so he would be vigilant. That girl is a psychopath, and she can think about going back to the pack in disguise. She was lucky this time, but next time she won't be

Liam's POVDani called me over. He wanted to talk about Angela, and he wanted me to see for myself."This is strange," he said, pointing at the girl who had gone quiet all of a sudden. She no longer howls or bangs at the door or tries to claw her way out."Yes, I find it strange that she is quiet. What if she is already tired? With what she's done, she'd probably exerted her energy," I wondered. He shook his head in a negative manner. "I thought so too, but when one of the guards tried to send some food there, she killed him on the spot. She is waiting for a perfect time to strike. Looks like even in her feral state, she is being calculative," he pointed out. My jaw dropped because in a span of days, Angela has done many atrocities. It's hard that I keep losing men, but I have already promised Adam that I would do anything in my power to ensure the wellbeing of his daughter no matter the cost.I sighed before taking my eyes off her."I came up with a suggestion, and I have this theory
