Lucy's POV

Everything was ruined!

It started when the men I sent had been killed with their bodys shredded in ways I can't even fathom and then last night the news about Tom buzzed the internet and he got arrested this morning. I could barely breathe, everything was just so suffocating.

I tried hard not to check my phone, but there were so many notifications. I got into the bathroom even when I was feeling messed up, it just sort of happened. I was already getting the upper hand, then Liam came to her rescue like a knight in shining armour, she seduced her way up before she came into the limelight.

Pinned him with kids and then came into the industry to pretend she didn’t shag him twice. It was crazy and now I messed up and Joe would be knocking on my door anytime soon.

“Take a deep breath, Lucy! Inhale deeply and exhale sharply," I said to myself. I closed my eyes and did what I had said.

“I’ve got this,” I muttered and then stepped into my bathroom to do my normal routine. I kep

Hazel's POV ‘Skies!’ Lyra said in my head as we stepped out of the house. Dominic said he would help with the kids while Liam and I could go do our respective duties.Liam barely slept yesterday… So do I!It was hard for me to sleep knowing there were women in the healers' wing, unsure of whether the pain reliever would help. Liam tried to make me sleep, but I told him to leave me be.He didn't do what I asked of him, and he stayed awake trying to make me sleep, and I did eventually, but just for three hours. A nightmare woke me up, and that was enough to keep me awake till daybreak. Liam was in his study room. I didn't want to disturb him, so I dropped a coffee on his table.“Elara?” One of my brows arched when I saw her coming closer to where I stood.“What? Shocked that I am out here to help my Luna,” She sent me a warm smile.“Of course, I am supposed to be resting. I can handle this on my own,” I said, trying to make him change her mind. But she had that adamant look on.“Stop a

Hazel's POV Screams of agony pierced through my ears as soon as I left Elara’s room. My heart leaped up as I rushed towards where the scream was coming from. People gathered around two women, blood trickling down their laps. Their faces were contorted with pain, the healers came to their rescue, trying to know why they were in so much pain. Two men tried to lift them up, but a sharp pain caused them to scream louder. I stood still, unsure of what to do,.I was feeling every bit of their pain, not because of the pack link, but because I could do it. I knew how painful childbirth is and this was far worse than any child birth.I rushed forward, people moved aside as I went closer to one of the females. The healer in charge of her was telling her to breathe. “Hold my hands,” I said to her,she looked at me. Eyes half opened as she nodded her head, taking my hands and squeezing it tightly.“Now, do what the healer says. Take a deep breath, slow and steady,” I said, practicing what the nu

Lucy's POV I was lonely… I didn't know how much I had gotten used to Dominic's presence but here I am admitting in front of his door that I was truly lonely. A day has passed since he left for whatever urgent situation that came up, and I'm meeting Joe.So much for him being the only one who cares about me. I hate the fact that Joe makes me feel wrecked, he went too far and too deep to show how he is the only one who cares about me in his fucked up way, just to leave me like the rest.I can't help but be worried about him, something must make him that anxious and edgy. Joe has always been brutal, but it looked like he got himself into trouble. Why doesn't he want to be seen with me?What is making him so terrified that he is trying to avoid me?Joe can't leave me with Alessandra, except… if that was his plan all along. But what would he gain from doing such?My death would literally not add anything to his wealth or status. Was he promised something?I bit my lips and raked my hands

Hazel's POV “You aren't serious!” I hit Liam on his chest. The door flung open, revealing Dominic, and in that moment, my smile was wiped off since he was glaring at his nephew.“Really? Is this your evening?” he asked, his gaze not leaving Liam, while I bit my lower lip.“Aren't you supposed to be happy, you get to spend enough time with the kids?” Liam rolled his hands while Dominic scoffed.“Is that the silly excuse you'll give? You ought to do better and you…” Dominic pointed his fingers at me.“Even if Liam acts like a kid at times, I expected you to be the voice of reason. Leaving a child with me? That's crazy, knowing how much I act when I'm surrounded by kids,” he thought before shaking his head slowly.“It's because we know that you would take care of them that's why we left you with them,” I responded warmly.“Enough of the nagging, Dominic. Are the children awake? Or did you not sleep early?” Liam asked. Dominic paved the way for us to enter.“Tch, they weren't stressful e

Hazel's POV Liam and I went out for a run! My wolf was excited as we ran past the woods, the breeze caressing my body and the trees making a whoosh sound as we passed. The smell of the woods lingered on my nose, but it couldn't overpower the sweet scent of my mate. Everyone had shown their respect after the link of the pack had opened; they were submitting to me even though we missed the rites.Elara said she was proud of me!A warmth filled my heart; once we'd gotten to the river nearby, I stopped in my tracks and then pounced on Liam. His wolf, Kaden, licked my neck before tickling.I let out a howl before trying to push him away from my body since he was on top. Liam didn't back down till I submitted. I shifted into my human form immediately, pulled off my gown, and walked into the river to swim.Hearing Liam moving closer, I smiled and turned to face him. He splashed water on my face, causing a squeal to elicit from my lips.“Liam!” I called, laughter erupting as I used my hands

Dominic's POV Liam dumped his kids with me while he ran away from the party with his mate. “Uncle D, what's the city like?” Mason asked, and he already took his spot on my lap, sitting comfortably. The other people enjoyed the party while I was drained and had a sense of longing for Lucinda. To be honest, I left a note for her on the table and told her I wouldn't be back for a week. Somehow, I wanted to see her expression to confirm whatever it is she feels for me, but looking at the argument yesterday. She might not want to see me and so I left earlier than I'd planned and arrived here in the evening.“The city is just there, lousy and busy,” I responded, giving the kids my attention. A waiter came over with some ice cream and a waffle, I nodded and took two for the kids.“Lousy? If you are tired of there, you can come live in the pack. It's very quiet here, and you might find a friend too,” Maya said in a pitiful way as if staying in the lousy, busy area was a painful experience f
