The housekeeper trailed behind me. “She specifically told us to keep it away from you.” She replied, her voice low. Wow. I couldn’t believe what was happening. Did she hate me that much? I asked you out to lunch and you declined—.” I zoned out of the conversation after Damien kept on whining about my communication skills on the other end of the phone. “Valerie!
