Valerie Will

“Hey, baby.” I planted a soft kiss on Liam’s forehead as I approached their booth. “How are you doing?” I asked, placing my hands around his shoulder.

He beamed with excitement as he saw me. “I’m fine.” He replied, giving me a side hug. “This man bought my favorite ice cream.” He pointed at Patrick.

Patrick was quiet.

He just watched as Liam and I talked.

There was no use hiding the truth from Liam anymore. He deserved to know who Patrick was. With a deep sigh, I sat down beside Liam.

“I want to talk to you about something.”

He raised a brow at me. “What is it?”

I hesitated for a moment. Was I about to make the right decision?

But then, it was time to stop lying to my son.

“You know how you’ve been asking me about your father?” I asked and he responded with a quiet nod. “Things were complicated, so I was waiting for the right time to tell you,” I added, brushing a stray curl from his forehead.

    Chapter 58Valerie Will ~•~After spending over an hour sulking inside the guest room, I made my way into the bathroom and washed my face. My eyes were red and my face was swollen. Why did I let Jessica and Patrick affect me so much? It’s been so many years but the betrayal was still fresh. Maybe it was because their son would be a constant reminder of the betrayal. I wasn’t sure how I would live knowing that we shared the same baby daddy. It was embarrassing. After I washed my face, I wiped it with a clean towel. Then I looked at my reflection in the mirror. Just let me explain.” I pleaded, my tone desperate. “Explain?” She asked with a bitter laugh. “You want to make me understand why you slept with my sister or how you had a child with her and hid him from me? Which one do you want to talk about?” Her voice trembled. The guilt was eating me alive. I messed up. “You’re still at your mom’s place, right?     Chapter 56Patrick Banks ~•~I had to put my phone on silent while having breakfast with Liam and Valerie because Jessica was blowing up my phone. I already told her I was busy, but she kept on blowing up my phone. After the breakfast ended, I tried calling her to see what she wanted. But she didn’t answer the call. I wondered what she wanted.
