I heard Ares's voice behind me.

Deep.

Calm.

The voice that usually made me feel safe but not right now, not after my conversation with his daughter… i didn’t even feel like talking to him now, talk less of looking at him.

I ignored his callings as I kept walking faster now pushing through a side door that led to a quiet garden outside.

He followed me I could hear his footsteps right behind me.

"Alyssa stop," he said.

I spun around to face him all the anger and hurt I had been feeling boiled over.

"Just fuck off Ares!" I yelled my voice shaking.

"Go away! Why don't you go be with your wife? Huh? Why are you always here with me? I never asked for you to be my bodyguard or to come back into my life, I was doing hust fine before you came."
