Chapter 542: It’s Not Water Proof

Dillon’s POV

I knew as soon as I saw the picnic basket that she’d planned some sort of romantic excursion for us. I was touched, really touched, since I usually took the lead in all things ‘romantic’. We climbed onto the catamaran, and I knew instantly that we were both severely underdressed. The catamaran would give off a slight spray from the waves, and without the warmth of the sun, we’d both be cold.

Not wanting to rain on her parade though, I simply wrapped my arms around her to keep us both warm. I would have brought a blanket, but this was her gig, so we sipped hot coffee as the catamaran bounced through the waves.

The water was a bit choppy, bordering on rough, thanks to the wind. By the time we stopped, the wind had really picked up, and the catamaran was swaying pretty badly. I almost asked her if she’d checked the weather (something I would have done), but stopped myself.
