•Juliet POV•

My heart broke each minute as I stared at the screen in shock, flipping through the images until I got to a video, and that was when my hand shook. The pain in my heart was so much that I used my other hand to hold my chest.

“What’s the problem, my love?” Edward asked when he noticed my behavior. I looked up from the phone and turned to face him, tears filled my eyes.

I wanted to react, then my gaze drifted to Jace. I didn’t want him to notice anything or ruin the nice breakfast we were having, so I stood up, faking a smile. “I need to use the restroom.” I pushed the chair away from me and walked out of the dining room, covering my mouth with my hand to hold in the sob.

When I got to the living room, I crashed onto the couch, crying.

“My love, what’s the problem? Did James threaten you? I’ll call the cops now,” Edward’s worried voice followed after me.
