Serena’s POV

Tyler and I were standing by the road side, waiting for some car to pass or even public transportation so we could finally go home.

My eyes were fixed on our intertwined fingers in spite of the heat of the sun causing me to sweat and the dust from the road, making me feel sticky. My heart couldn't stop beating so loud and fast as I kept my gaze on our hands.

I still can't believe that we made love last night. He was so gentle and so caring. I felt his heart when he made love to me. The sincerity was there and I couldn't help but smile because of it.

“Tyler…”

He looked at me and pulled me closer as he smiled gently. “Hm? Are you hungry? Thirsty?”

I shook my head. “I just can't believe that we're okay now.”

He took a deep sigh and glanced at our hands. He tightened his grip on my hand before he lifted it and planted a soft kiss on the back of my palm as his eyes looked into mine lovingly. “It felt surreal for me too. Thank you for forgiving me…”
