Lillian’s POV

A make-shift duelling ring is created in the middle of the dancefloor, emphasising the box by using tall flower planters, and the rolled fabric is used to define the sides. Since it’s a duel in an indoor setup, the use of any weapons like daggers, swords, and especially guns is prohibited.

It is also to maintain fairness and show our brute force and skills.

The duel began under a heavy silence, with only the shifting of feet and murmurs from the crowd as our backdrop.

Stan and I stands facing each other squarely.

Compared to him, he is, without a doubt, taller and more experienced, especially after the three years I have been gone. He goes to his fighting stance in confidence, staring me down.

Raising my fist and bending my knees in my fighting stance, I take a deep breath and calm my nerves, feeling ready. Though I don’t carry the same brute strength I once had, I know everything else remains.

My instinct, grit, rage and speed. I pull strength from all of those and focu

Lillian’s POVWell, as amazing as Maddox’s friends are, he or she is obviously impossible to be a witch or wizard because they don’t exist – at least, not that I know of. Hence, despite having every trace of the scandal off social media, there are still people talking. After all, many have already read it.My walk back to the boutique and back into my house isn’t exactly quiet. I hear whispers coming from bystanders and passersby, especially when I am outside the Oasis Pack territory. But despite all that, I just keep my head high and walk like it’s just any other day. I don’t care anymore.Let them talk. Let them spin around Sienna’s schemes until they unravel it themselves that they are being played with.I don’t need validation from anyone who only listens when someone more powerful decides I’m worth hearing. The past has made me strong. Now, I have many who believe in me and will have my back at any time of the day.The rest of the people can go fool themselves up for all I care.

Lillian’s POV“You know… I think I know her.”I stop midway, leaving Luna Maera on her own to go back to my room, when I hear her sudden words. Slowly, I turn around and look at her with a questioning look.No words are needed. She already knows what I am asking.“Sienna.”Now, that takes my attention even more. “You know Sienna? Sienna Wallace?”Stepping forward, I stare at her closely and observe how her face changes a little as she tries to recall something, as if grasping something from the back of her head.Later on, she nods her head. “Yeah. I think so… Her name… It just…”Her face twisted as she tried to find the appropriate words. “Uncomfortably familiar, if I must say?”I raise a brow. “Uncomfortably familiar?”Taking another step closer to her, I await her following words, but she just sighs and stands up, dusting off the invisible dust on her clothes before shrugging. “Yes, uncomfortably familiar, but I can’t say anything for sure…”“...Yet,” she adds mysteriously, making m

Lillian’s POV“I guess you owe me a thank you?” Craig’s teasing voice echoes in the kitchen, where I am personally preparing a drink for Luna Maera as a thank you.He just suddenly sneaks up behind me, popping up like a mushroom, and gives me a knowing look.Since the weather is hot, I decided to make a tropical shake for her. Basically, it’s a combination of mango, banana, and pineapple with some milk in it.While waiting for the blender, I lean my back on the counter and face Craig with my arms crossed.Raising a brow, I tease back, “Oh yeah? To what exactly?”“I don’t know.” He shrugs. “One for bringing you a new possible investor–”“At a not-so-good time, if I may say so,” I cut off.I am so thankful and excited when I see her coming in and hearing she’s here to canvas, but I can’t help but feel ashamed for her to know the situation I am in.Craig nods his head and points a finger at me, in a good way. “Alright, point taken. But someone speaks up for you. She did. I don’t think it

Lillian’s POVStorm comes one after another. It almost feels like a daily routine for me this time. I guess the pack run yesterday was only my day off. Because as soon as that passes by, I am back at receiving unwanted guests.Last time it was Sienna, and now it’s her die-hard fan, Evie.Like her idol, she doesn’t bother to knock and barges her way into the sanctuary until she finds me right at the courtyard, supervising the new refugees.A couple of warriors are following her and trying to stop her, but because of her status as the Alpha’s sister, they dare not go overboard.“You!” she barks, pointing a finger at me with her eyes sending fire my way. “You’re the reason the ceremony might get cancelled!”Around us, the refugees alongside some of the trainees from Oasis Camp whose shadows freeze mid their sprints, ears perking toward the commotion. The courtyard, filled with laughter and motivation as they did their drills moments ago, goes utterly silent.“I beg your pardon?” Turning

Keegan’s POVStupid. That’s one thing to call me. Being an Alpha, I am one of those with the highest control. But I lost it.I lose it all and turn around to Lillian that night. And that has just made everything worse. Not only did I hurt Sienna for letting her smell Lillian’s scent on me, but I also put Lillian in a tight spot that she should not have been in in the first place.I know avoiding Lillian will be the best choice. And so, that’s what I am doing now. When I see her in the sanctuary, I try my best to avoid her and treat her like air, but still, I can’t help but steal some glances at her.The sanctuary sure is wonderful, just like how she envisioned, and I can’t be prouder of her. She’s getting stronger and powerful every day. Far from how she was before. Far from the person she has become from being imprisoned by my own greed. Now, she’s rising, and I can’t even be beside her.Later, after visiting the sanctuary, I participated in the Pack Run, but I don’t feel as free and

  • Divorcing The Alpha: Now He Won't Let Me Go   Chapter 104

Lillian’s POVIt’s been a few days. I will not lie. Standing in front of my mirror, I still see the mark lingering on my skin as it had the night before. But I will not let it own me.This time. It’s just a scar from a wound of my past. Especially, today… I will not let Keegan, the scar, or anything from the past distract and ruin my day today. Not with that marvellous scent of pines, mints, and sandalwood rotating my nostrils, not with the chill of late morning wind brushing my skin, and especially not when the beat of a hundred paws thundering across the forest floor echoes beside me as I run among them in my human form.Though I haven’t shifted yet, I’m still a she-wolf, and being wolfless will not hinder me from participating in this most-awaited tradition of every werewolf–the quarterly pack run.As stingy as it is, this is my first time actually being part of this tradition. Of being able to run with them.Back then, I ran to the side slowly with my head down, not wanting to fee
