Chapter 24. Reive
Reive felt like the worst kind of scoundrel, bursting into the bathroom of a helpless naked girl. Just to embarrass her. Just for the fun of it.
What had he become? This was unheard of discourtesy for a high-blooded earl. However, he couldn’t help himself. Angelina attracted him like a magnet.
This was an indirect result of him spending seven hundred years without a woman.
Reive tried to convince himself that was the reason. Actually, it wasn’t.
The necromancer went into the little bathroom and purposely closed the door loudly behind himself. His pulse was racing, like it did before a good fight.
What the draugr was he doing? What he wanted was still impossible for him anyway. He had to wait. Not only because the little one hadn’t had any men yet but because of another extremely important reason that had become obvious only a couple of minutes ago.

"Firel. My castle. My blood...”The dark stone castle rose in front of Reive. It was shining in the sun. Reive raised an eyebrow, not quite understanding what was going on. However, when the groom walked away, she came up to him, standing on tiptoe, holding her breath. By this time, Reive was ready to go down to the depths of Twilight, if he could be there alone with Angelina. I felt incredibly well. A fresh breeze blew on my skin; and even cooled my over-heated head a little. Reive was sitting behind me, and I felt how he was almost hugging me. I felt his hands, chest and hips. I even felt his breath at times when the wind hushed and the horse seemed to walk on by itself. I didn’t turn round to check but, if I closed my eyes, I could imagine him lowering his head to my neck. I felt his lips pause just an inch from my shoulder.Nonsense.
