I went to sleep after that meeting silently instead of putting up a fight with Christian. It took some time, but I was perhaps too exhausted from all the emotional issues and tears that I had to go through so eventually, I did fall asleep without realizing when. I was not aware if Christian had come back to the room or not, but when I woke up after a few hours at night, the bed beside me was empty.

After getting freshen up in the washroom, I walked down the hall. Everything was loud, and everyone was chattering with each other. I took a deep breath as for some reason, seeing everyone being normal did not make me feel awkward for coming down here after all the drama from yesterday.
