I didn't come out of the bathroom until I was sure Maxim had left. I knew I was throwing a tantrum but at that moment, I didn't care. I was tired of being a slave—a pawn in everyone’s game.

I didn't want to play games. I wanted to be treated like a human being for once in my life. Maxim wasn't giving me what I wanted. I wanted to be free for once.

I escaped my father and found freedom. However, looking back, I was always under the thumb of the F.B.I. They dictated how I lived my life and the decisions I made.

Looking back, I never had any freedom.

I opened the bathroom door and looked all around the penthouse to make sure he was gone. He’d told me he was leaving before he left and begged me to come out of the bathroom. A desperate part of me had hoped he would stay with me because I was mad.

But who was I to think I was important enough that he would leave his work for me?

I test the living room, wondering what to do next. He looked for my phone everywhere, but I couldn’t find it. The

Sonya and I didn’t bother to change because we already looked good. However, we mauled over Kira’s behavior. None of us expected her to side with a woman who had insulted one of her friends.Yet, she seemed very excited that she had gotten approval from a woman she had never met before. I asked Sonya if she had a good relationship with her adoptive mother but she told me she didn’t know.“There is a lot we don’t know about Kira. She’s elusive and very private with her life. It is very suspicious if I am being honest.” I said. “Maxim mentioned that and I brushed him off.”“I think she is just insecure. Rumor has it that her real mother was murdered by her father because he found out that she was pregnant with his child and he knew it would ruin his marriage.”Her real father was a menace to society. Getting a heart attack was an easy way out. He was the one who had chosen to put his dick in another woman without protection. She didn’t deserve to be killed because he couldn’t keep in hi

I got home with all my shopping bags while I laughed with my friends. I had enjoyed myself as well as I could during my time with them as usual. Like always, we had gone on the deep end and bought items that were unnecessary. It was to the point that the bags were too many for me to carry and I had to enlist the help of my guards to help me with them. As soon as I was in the mansion, I felt a shift in energy. From the get-go, I could feel that something wasn’t right. The staff were nowhere to be found and guards had been repositioned. The air was tense and it felt like a calm before the storm moment.“What’s going on here?” Sonya asked. There were some guards by the entrance. However, most of them were missing. There was no one in the kitchen or anywhere I could see from the foyer.“It’s tense. Something feels off.” Kira agreed. As we were about to try and figure out what the problem was, all the staff emerged from the ballroom. They all walked past us and went by their duties like we

The day I was getting married finally came, and I could barely hide my excitement. I sat in the bedroom I shared with Maxim, my makeup and hair done. My friends were there gushing about how good I looked and exaggerating everything. They were not wrong, though. I looked very good. My makeup was flawless and I glittered. When I finally put on my wedding dress, I couldn’t help but swoon over myself. The wedding dress screamed royalty, which is what I wanted from the very start. I couldn’t help but squeal and giggle every few seconds. It was a voluminous ball gown with a princess effect. The skirt flared dramatically from the waist, structured to maintain its full, sweeping shape. It had a slight sheen, giving the fabric a luxurious, almost liquid-silk appearance in the light. The fabric was silk mikado, thick and smooth, holding its shape with elegance and weight. The finish was luminous — not sparkly, but glowing — catching the light with every subtle movement.I’d wanted to buy a wedd

After Vadim was thrown out because of causing trouble. He was shouting that everyone was out to get him and that everyone was against him. He said everyone was watching him and plotting his downfall and that the only person who cared about him was his cousin. He was truly missing some screws and I wished I could say I felt sorry for him because I didn’t, but I didn’t mock him either.“You really should not have underestimated Maxim. His hands may be tied but that does not mean he will not find ways to punish you.” I told him before he left.“Just like he will find ways to punish you when he finds out what a cunning backstabbing bitch you are. Just because you wear a crown, doesn’t make you a queen.” He said.I guess he had been so focused on his own life falling apart that he failed to know that I was getting married and that I would be the new queen.“Oh, I am a queen, and if I were you, I would be very scared. This is just the beginning. Clear your head and start thinking like the s

After the initiation, I was a little bit spooked. I dodn’t expect things to go down that way, and I had a feeling the four other men I saw in the room would hold me accountable if I didn’t get my shit together and figure our a way to dodge Vadim and my father.I wouldn’t let them destroy the family I had just made with the people around me. I had made friends and built a ife that I was not even ready to give up. He was going to have to find new ways to threaten me because I would sabotage all his efforts to sabotage Maxim.“Where were you last night?” Kira asked. “I came to look for you, and you were not here. It was very late in the night, " she added.Sonya and I shot each other a look. She was the only other person who knew where I had been besides the four men who had been in the room with me. The only reason she knew was that she was going to soon be taking over her father and was required to know the inner workings of the Alliance. When I first came out, she was waiting for me o

I thought marrying Maxim would be as simple as to walk down the isle. However, I couldn’t have been more wrong. I was taken in the middle of the night and rushed into an SUV. Maxim was nowhere to be found, only bodyguards.“Where are you taking me?” I asked.“You’ll see. The Pakhan asked us to bring you there so don’t worry.”At least they gave me time to shower and wear presentable clothes. They made sure to instruct me to wear a black lace dress that was long and a black fur coat on top. When we got to the mysterious location, they ushered me out and led me into an abandoned building. It was dark and only one bodyguard was holding a torch to illuminate the area.“What is happening?” I asked, but no one answered me. I started to get nervous, planning to bolt out of there and escaped. I thought that the bodyguards had lied to me and this was another way of Vadim scaring me.However, we stopped at a cellar and I relaxed a little. The cellar was cold, and very old. I even coughed due to

She jumped on me and started attacking me. People tried to get her off me but it was like she had been possessed and she had incredible strength. She used her hands to claw at my skin.I tried to push her off but it only made her attack me harder than before. She didn’t dare let me go. It took Maxim getting there and pulling her off me to get her to stop. She shrugged him off and tried to come at me again but he was standing in front of me.She walked to the center of the garden and gathered the attention of everyone.“This man was supposed to marry me. For five years, he promised to marry me and make me his wife but this girl came along a year ago and suddenly he wants nothing to do with me. She was the one who spoiled everything.”She smoothed out her dress and turned all her attention to Maxim. She held out her hand for him to take.“Come to me now and let’s get married. I am ready for us to get married. I even took out my wedding dress and I have my vows.”Everyone looked at her l

  • Don Maxim's Plaything   A Fairytale

Maxim had gone above and beyond for everything. I gasped, my hand on my mouth when I saw the scene in front of me.I was looking at an enchanting garden walkway that looked like it belonged in a fairy tale. It was an exquisitely romantic setting, and I didn’t understand what for.Dozens of overhead lanterns hung from sprawling tree branches above, casting a soft, golden glow against the dark sky. They gave the scene a dreamlike, floating quality—like stars captured and brought down to earth. At the end of the walkway stood a white flower-covered arch, framed beautifully by soft garden lighting. It’s the perfect focal point, suggesting a place where something deeply intimate or ceremonial is about to happen. The path was polished dark wood, flanked on either side by pale pink flower petals scattered perfectly. The petals were thick and lush, hinting at indulgence and attention to detail. Both sides of the path were lined with sculpted greenery and abundant white blooms—roses, hydrangea

  • Don Maxim's Plaything   His Woman

Maxim was ready to launch our relationship to the public. He informed me that as soon as he came from the important meeting he had told me he was going to earlier that day. He was the happiest I had ever seen him.It almost seemed like he had gone to get approval from someone to announce our marriage. Still, I didn’t ask him because I knew he wouldn’t tell me a thing. I was as happy as him but I was also sceptical.I was tasked with helping to dismantle his organization. As his wife, I was going to have to be loyal to him. How would I be loyal to him and my sister at the same time?Despite all these thoughts I was having, I couldn’t hide that I was excited to get married to the man I loved so much. He may have been an enemy of my father and he would probably send me packing if he found out who I was.But I was going to enjoy every second with him until my time ran out.I hugged him excitedly and let him spin me around. He kissed me hard with one hand around my waist and the other on t
