I was having such good sleep, sore - everywhere - and worn out, yet I’ve never felt this good. Last night was the best night of my life. Not the sex, but because I saw Ace in a new light. He was gentle, kind and giving because he loves me. The engagement ring on my finger proved just how far we’ve gone from being those people who met in a club.
My mind is still reminiscing about last night’s event when I heard a commotion downstairs. I can hear people talking, but Ace’s voice was over the top like a growl. The first thought that came to my mind was my father. Ace and I didn’t come back to the mansion like we planned, and I bet my father’s fury can make a person turn to ash by his gaze.
Hurriedly, I pushed the duvet off of my body and rummaged through our closet for something to wear.
