Mr. Linch lets go of my arm and takes a step back from me. He transforms into a jovial man so quickly, "Mr. Conti, you just walked into a little misunderstanding." He turns to me and says, "You are free to leave Alexa."

I walk towards the door, hoping to get out of this office as quickly as possible, worried I might cry. Mr. Conti has a cold, neutral expression on his face that gives away nothing as I pass him. The look he gives Mr. Linch is chilling and it makes me glad I'm not the recipient. I can't help look at his large, well-built frame, that even his suit can't hide, and know that this man can fight and fight well.

I brush him lightly when I squeeze by him to get out the door and I feel and electric current run up my arm and into my core, it steals my breathe away. I never get effected by men like this, I thought this kind of reaction was only in fiction.

Thankfully, I'm out the door  quickly where Tony is waiting for me. He alternates between looking towards me with a kind expression and looking at Mr. Finch in absolute anger.

Once I reach the door he puts his arm around my shoulders and pulls me through, closing the door behind us.

"I can't believe that bastard did that!" he rages. "I was gone for 5 minutes. He is shameless."

He leads me towards my desk and sits me in my chair. He disappears for a moment and comes back with a black coffee for me. He also has a Coffee Crisp, my favorite chocolate bar. I smile at him and accept the offerings.

"Tony, how am I going to last 9 more months?" I ask, desperately

"I am going to come with you to report this to HR," he says, rubbing his hand along my back to comfort me.

"None of my previous reports have resulted in anything other than Mr. Linch being more of a dick for a few days," I point out uselessly.

"We'll tell them that it happened in front of Mr. Conti and that he was not pleased with the display. Something like that can risk whatever deal they are working on," Tony says reasonably.

"I don't want to use someone's name to help me."

"Then take out Mr. Conti's name and just says it was a major prospective client."

I nod and say, "Okay, let me drink this coffee and relax a bit before we go. I don't want to cry, and I think I am still in a bit of shock."

Tony goes back to his desk, but I can tell he is keeping an eye on me. I slowly relax and feel more and more comfortable with Tony's plan. He's right, I can't let an incident of this magnitude go by unreported. We expected the meeting to last at least 30 minutes, but Mr. Conti walks out after 10 minutes.

His demeanor hasn't changed. He looks towards me and says, "Grab your stuff, we're leaving."

"I can't leave," I say, a bit confused, "I work until 5."

"You are getting a paid week off. I'm going to walk you out."

He says it with such authority that I decide not to continue questioning him. Who am I to question a week of paid time off. I grab my purse and phone and walk around my desk to stand beside Mr. Conti.

Mr. Linch bristles and says, "Mr. Conti this really isn't necessary. It was all a misunderstanding. I know we should have been better at staying professional at work but Alexa and I have a more personal relationship."

My head snaps up to look at Mr. Finch, "No, we don't. I have made it clear on many occasions that I wish only to have a professional relationship with you. I will be reporting today's incident to HR just like the other times."

"Not necessary," Mr. Conti says, "You no longer work here."

He walks out the door and towards the elevators and I need to run after him to catch up and get some clarification. I catch up to him just in time to get on the elevator. The elevator doors close and I immediately feel that electric current between us. I wasn't imagining it earlier and it might be even stronger now.

As we traveled down to the main floor, I was in a slight panic. "Mr. Conti, I can't quit this job. My contract makes it next to impossible. I won't be able to pay off the relocation f*e, and I'm here on a work visa."

Mr. Conti remains calm. "Don't worry, all of that will be sorted. Just enjoy your week off and report to work at this address next week."

He hands me a card, then steps off the elevator and walks away without another word. I am standing in the elevator in shock and am only spurred into action when the doors start to close. I get off the elevator just in time to see Mr. Conti get into the pack of a car. Of course, he has a driver.

I walk home at a leisurely pace and take time to register everything that happened that morning. Firstly, Mr. Conti is the best-looking man I have ever seen. If not for the harassment situation, I'm sure that is what Tony and I would have been discussing for the rest of the day and over drinks later.

He has beautiful green eyes, dark wavy hair and perfectly tanned olive skin. He's tall with broad shoulders that were perfectly framed by his suit. Even when he looked at me with disinterest, there was an intensity in his gaze that made me feel like he could see everything. He seems like a man who is never not alert. Guessing by how much secrecy and respect the man had in our office, I assume he is a very successful businessman.

When I get home and check my phone there are a million text messages from Tony. He knows I hate reading text messages and if he sends more than two I won't read any at all. I text back with Drinks tonight? and don't bother reading the texts.

I'm sure Tony will be busy today and will probably have to work late since he's doing work of two. There's also a good chance that Mr. Finch is in a bad mood and making things difficult. I start to work on errands that have been pilling up while I wait for him to be done work.

At 5pm I start dressing to meet up with Tony. He always complains when I don't put in enough effort. I've always preferred going natural and putting in minimal effort, but I've learned that it's not just a threat. I learned my lesson when I had to wait two extra hours for dinner while Tony took me back to his apartment to dress me up in his roommate's clothes and have her help with my makeup and hair.

I wasn't sure where he would choose to meet, so I went with a little black dress. He is always going on about the versatility of an LBD. I now have 3 in my closet that he insisted I buy. He's been taking me shopping to make sure I have all the basics. I have to say it's been great not having to pull all my clothes out of my closet trying to find an outfit that works, since he's made sure I have everything for every occasion.

Around 7pm I get a text from Tony and I head out right away to meet him for dinner and drinks.

  • Don't Love Me   A Threat or a Warning

Cass deposits me on a chair by the kitchen island and I can tell by the look on Allegra's face that she's not amused. Cass takes the seat beside me and Ana places a black coffee in front of me and an espresso in front of Cass.Cass doesn't waste time on pleasantries and asks, "So why are you here?"Allegra looks pointedly at me, then back to Cass and says, "It's a sensitive topic.""If it's a sensitive topic that can be discussed in front of Valentina, then it can be discussed in front of Alexa as well," Cass says with an eye roll. He obviously isn't enjoying all this made-up drama."Since you insist on bringing Alexa into the family, Constantine thought it necessary to do a background check," she says as she dramatically tosses a folder on the island in front of Cass.I try not to laugh, thinking about how bored the P.I must have been while investigating my family. "Did you find anything good?" I ask, amused.Allegra ignores me and continues talking to Cass, "She's broke. She made a

  • Don't Love Me   Unexpected Visitors

I get home in the early morning hours and the sight of Alexa deep in sleep in my bed helps me let go of the last of my annoyance. I know I shouldn't wake her up, but after the night I've had, I can't stop myself. I watch her sleep as I pull off my clothes. I'm already hard by the time I slide in the bed behind.I'm beyond lucky that she sleeps naked because it makes moments like this possible. I wedge my c-ck between her butt cheeks and slowly grind against her. She softly moans and I can tell she's still mostly asleep but waking up.I feel a slight tinge of guilt that I'm waking her up in the dead of sleep. She's always been a very willing partner and it's Saturday morning so she can sleep in."Mmh. That feels nice," Alexa says with her eyes still closed. "Is this a dream?"I smile and whisper, "Go ahead and keep dreaming, I just need a quick fix.""Okay," she says, and I can't see her face but I know she's smiling gently.Just because I don't plan on taking long doesn't mean I'll le

  • Don't Love Me   Security Threat

It's a couple of weeks until Christmas, and I'm actually looking forward to returning home for the holidays. With Alexa by my side, my last visit was somewhat enjoyable, and I only see that improving as she gets more comfortable around my family. That being said, I'm still keeping the visit brief.Work at Ombra is going great but the family business has been stressful. I'm pissed that I have to spend the night away from Alexa to come in and hear about the latest f-ck up. I rushed into the office as soon as my second, a no-nonsense guy named Luca, called. He almost never needs me to come meet him in person and the fact that he didn't want to say anything over the phone means it's bad.We keep our offices in the back of a strip club that I prefer not to visit, in a part of town that I no longer belong to. Coming here makes me think back to when I was first exiled. I was heartbroken and lonely with something to prove. Looking back now, I see how far I've come. It's crazy that it took hav

  • Don't Love Me   Office Lunch Chats

Over the next couple of weeks, Cass has me sitting in on an increasing number of meetings to take notes. After the meetings, we'll usually do a debrief where he asks me a bunch of questions about the finer points of the meeting and my opinion on what the next steps should be. He's even had me write up a few preliminary drafts for proposals. This isn't normally part of my responsibilities as his assistant, but I can't say I don't enjoy the extra work. It's fascinating and much more challenging than my normal day-to-day tasks. We've gotten into the habit of eating lunch together in his office so that I can have time to ask questions and get clarification when needed.Today, we're eating a turkey, pesto sandwich when I finally feel the need to ask, "Why are you letting me do so much and being so patient with all my questions? I'm sure you could get this down so much faster."He puts down his sandwich and I appreciate that he's obviously taking this question seriously. "I think you have f

  • Don't Love Me   Lollipop

We arrive home just after lunch and I have the rest of the day to relax and do as I please. I was expecting to stay through lunch with Cass's family, so this was an unexpected boon. I'm not sure what changed our plans but I'm not complaining.I start walking in the direction of my room to put my things away but Cass grabs me around my waist and asks, "Where do you think you're going?"I look at him confused, and say, "To my room."He gives me a mischievous smile and pulls me with him in the direction of his room."You know I'm always ups for more sex, but you could at least give me a couple of minutes to put my stuff away before you pounce," I lightly joke.We get to his room and I'm immediately speechless. I walk around seeing my stuff placed all around his room the same way it was placed in mine, right down to the vibrator in the bedside drawer. My face turns a bit red when I notice that one, knowing that someone had to move it.I turn back to Cass with a questioning look, still una

  • Don't Love Me   Challenge Accepted

After taking Alexa roughly on the plane, I let her sleep. I knew I would want more when we got home, so I wanted her to get as much rest as possible.I watch her sleep next to me and think back to everything she said to Allegra. Our family always visited the cemetery to memorialize our fallen members but I felt guilty for leaving Alexa behind. I stayed as long as necessary but left as soon as no one was looking. I hadn't known that Allegra had slipped out early on the pretense of getting things ready at the house for our return.Alexa likes to eat, so I knew she wouldn't skip breakfast, but as I approached the informal kitchen and living room I heard voices. They weren't raised, but there was a tenseness in the air that was undeniable.I know I found them early in their conversation based on their politeness. However, I was shocked when Allegra's voice changed into something I'd never heard before. I was tempted to look around the corner and risk giving away my presence just to check
