CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN

Sera’s POV

The sound of the piano filled the hallway. I was already late, which my music teacher absolutely hated but she always understood that Esports took a lot of my time. I push the door open to one of my favourite classes, a huge grin on my face.

My mother loved singing. The good memories I had of her were during Christmas, when she would braid my hair and sing all sorts of carols to me. She was also never high when she did that, and she would smell like lemon and warmth. I walked in, going to the alto line and settling down.

“Well, everyone is here then,” our music teacher began. She was a small woman with very wild hair, but her throat was made of steel. I once listened to her carry a note for ten minutes, her voice did not even falter.

“We are learning the history of the flute,” she walked to her cabinet and brought out a couple of them. We were only fifteen in this class and she walked amidst us, passing flutes as she spoke.

“The flute is one of the olde

CHAPTER THIRTY-FIVE Sera’s POVThe limousine suddenly came to a stop. “Let's go, girls,” Jennifer commanded, opening the doors.Everyone came down like they had some this before, their guns tucked close to them. I held mine loosely, my hands still shaking from their weight, my breath coming out choppily. I was so scared, I was considering attending church if everything went right. We walked into this large orphanage that looked like it was built during the last world war, Jennifer leading us. “Everyone stop. This is a heist,” she announced, raising her gun up in the air.The elderly women looked so scared and one spoke up. “Please don't kill us.”“Lay down,” one girl barked, pointing her gun at them. They all did as she commanded, lying on the cold floors. I watched in horror as the girl walked to them, her gun trained on them. Her eyes screamed danger and I hoped she wasn't planning on firing the gun, even if it was fake.“Okay, you and you, stay here with them. Where is the money?

  • Don't Stop, Coach Daddy    CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR

CHAPTER THIRTY-FOURSera’s POVI walked in the pool of water, my teeth chattering from the cold. Little droplets of water clung to my lashes as I got on my porch, and I struggled to find my keys, needing to get warm from the drenching deluge.I finally brought my keys out, fiddling for the right one as my phone rang. It was an unsaved number. Recently, a lot of fans have been calling and texting me about Dylan. Maybe it was time for me to issue a message online, discouraging them.“Hello?” I put my phone to my ear and opened my door, soaking my wooden floors with water. “Who is this?”“Seraaaaaaa,” Jennifer's shrill voice answered me. “How are you, Seraphina?”“Jennifer?”“Yeah it is she, bitch don't you have my number?”I mumbled something under my breath. I really did not want to get close to her, especially since she was always next to Mika. “I am fine. What's up?”“Yeah, can you hear me?”I barely could, noise blasting from where she was. “No, not really,” I replied, crouching dow

  • Don't Stop, Coach Daddy    CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE

CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE Sera’s POV This was bullshit.“Seraphina,” Agatha hissed behind me. I rolled my eyes heavily. “Do not make that move again, focus on the flag.”How could I when you are screaming down everyone's ears like a wench? We were having a friendly match with another school and the rules of the game were simple. The best of five won. It was two rounds and right now, our asses were being handed to us in a fucking silver platter.“Sasha, switch, Romeo on seat,” Agatha screamed again, switching for the third time in the game. The opposing school players snickered amongst themselves, and their coach looked very uncomfortable. I tried to pass the call to Romeo’s Avatar so I could attack the guy that just snuck into our lair. “Fuck, Seraphina do you not listen, hold on the the fucking flag.”Yes ma’am.This was not a fucking holding on game We were meant to shoot to kill on site, the flag is just something to motivate us. Each team had ten players and could switch each ten p

  • Don't Stop, Coach Daddy    CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO

CHAPTER THIRTY-TWODylan's POV I was still stewing from anger when I woke up, particularly aimed at two people. Naomi was right to be angry, but there was no need for her to bring on players just because she wanted to test me. It was demeaning, I thought she said I was the star. Then why did she not treat me like one?The second person I was angry with was Koby. He finally stopped calling me last night and reported me to her. A man should know not to snitch and as good as the coach was, I was severely disappointed in him.“Yao, I have to go for training this morning.”Yao came in and did not say anything to me. “Damn, it is like that now? Because I caught a break, you are not even going to say hi?”She kept her silence, quietly booking the same ride that took me to training everyday. When he was downstairs, we walked down together.“You know, this elevator ride is already horrible, imagine how the car would be? Just say hi?”She said nothing, pursing her lips.“Fine, suit yourself.”

  • Don't Stop, Coach Daddy    CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE

CHAPTER THIRTY-ONEDylan’s POVI badly needed a break.Koby was even a greater pain in my ass than my father. He did not smile, he hated my guts and was quick to point it out and worse, he wore me down till I almost exploded on him.I had training in the morning, afternoon and evening. I barely rested and worst of it all, all my complaints to Naomi fell on deaf ears. She asked me to sit my ass down and do as they said because I did not realize just what they have done for me.Not tonight though.“Yao,” I called. “Yao?”She came in. “Mr. Dylan?”“Just call me Dylan, Yao. Is there any Casino close by?”Yao pursed her lips. “Yes, there is.”“I want to go there.”“You need authorization from my boss”I stared at her. “I'm not doing that,” I barked out. Her expression doesn't change. “Yao, I'm not fucking doing that. I need a break.”“You have training, sir,” was her curt reply.“You know what? Just get out.” She left my room silently locking the door behind her. I needed to be out and I w

CHAPTER THIRTYSera’s POV“Pleaseeeeee,” Romeo whined. “Just accept this, omg.”“You know you're pretty annoying,” I said, rolling my eyes. “Yes, but I feel horrible. I cannot believe you missed training.”“Yeah, I know right?” I mumbled, finally putting my last load of laundry in the machine. “Okay, I am going to come have coffee with you and Sasha.”“Thank you, bitch,” he said cheerily, hanging in up. I changed my clothes into something more casual then left my house. The cafe in school was open 24/7 and I loved their breakfast options especially. When I got there, Romeo and Sasha were already sitting down in a booth next to the window and he waved at me.I walked inside. “Hi.”Romeo looked nice. His blonde curly hair was pouring down his face. “Jeez, are you going for a fashion show? You look good.”“Thank you,” he beamed. “I wore mascara.”I signed to Sasha. “He wears mascara?”“I do not suffer from fragile masculinity, Sera. I can wear what I like.”I nodded. “How was training?”
