There are things that Marvin did in his life that he regret. Things that he promised he would never do agin. But, having a serial killer on the loose is making him think that he has to do somethings that is against everything he stands for. He's trying to keep it together, but the case and the situation with his family is making it hard for him.
They have too little to go on, and too great demand from the remaining citizens of Haverville. The town has been too quiet, and nothing ever felt the same again. There's an upcoming festivity, but no one seems to bother. And, it's adding to Sullivan's stress. He can't get any semblance of his normal life.
