Chapter 40

Isabella arrived at the Arnot's house.

She could hardly contain her excitement as she spoke, "Did he really say that?"

Even Oliver, who always spoke softly and gently, was somewhat agitated at this moment.

"Yes, he took the initiative to have the caregiver ask me who was playing the piano that day, and he said he wanted to meet you."

Isabella's eyes sparkled as she thought for a moment and said, "Mr. Arnot, just to be safe, I think I should go in alone."

"Alright, Cedric and I will be in the living room. Call us if you need anything."

"Okay."

The door was slightly ajar. Isabella knocked gently, but there was no response from inside.

She tried to push open a crack and peered in through it. It was still the same dim light, creepy and terrifying.

"Who?"

Isabella was startled by the sudden noise, hastily pointing at the piano that had been moved to the door, and then at herself, implying that she was the one who had played it last time.
