A rescue mission

I got dressed up, we had another meeting today. Since I lost myself yesterday, another one has been rescheduled for today.

“Hey,” Selene called with a smile, approaching me.

“Hi,” I replied, returning the smile.

“Looking good,” She teased, accompanying it with a wink.

“What do you mean?” I asked, “What happened yesterday?”

She shrugged, turning her face forward. “Nothing.”

I was about to say something when Riley and the other girls walked out.

I nodded at their greetings before we walked into the meeting room and as usual, we were the last to arrive.

The session for today began as the host discussed the treaty with the humans and then presented the final result from the votes cast yesterday.

It was decided.

We were finally coming out to the world, and we're going to tell them about us.

But first, I needed to do something.
