“How did it happen?” Caleb asked, examining it as his hands traced the mark.

“I..I don't know, I just pulled off my clothes and the next minute, it's here.” I spoke, rather too calmly.

“And you think...”

“I don't think it is,” I snapped, cutting him off. “I know it. This is a werewolf mark.”

“But I thought everything was over, you said it disappeared.”

I exhaled deeply, sitting on the bed, using a towel to wrap around my body.

“That is the problem here. This isn't like the other mark, it's not Logan's, nor is it Xavier's. This one is different.”

We remained silent, I watched as Caleb paced around the room, his brows furrowed.

“Then, how about you contact your wolf?”

“That’s my past, Caleb. I do not want to have anything to do with the supernatural now.”

“We need answers, Ava.” He screamed, banging his fist on the wall. “There’s a fucking mark on you and you want me to stay still?”
