AVA

I heard it again, close to my face but this time it wasn't a growl, it was a chuckle, a light heartfelt chuckle. I opened my eyes, standing before me was Xavier Blackwood, naked with a huge grin on his face.

“You’re quite the brave one.” He teased, his hand on my chin.

“Xa... Xavier?” I stuttered, blinking my eyebrows furiously.

“Heard you were back, I had to see you.” He said, picking a pair of pants and sliding into them. “Didn’t mean to scare you.”

“How did you know I was going to be at the field?” I asked, voice low.

He walked over to the mat, picking up two glasses, he poured wine into them. “Just a haunch, it wasn't my first time out there though.” He said handing one to me but I declined, glaring at him.

“I get the fact that you're angry at me for everything. I've prepared all these, just to make you feel safe with me.” He spoke, his voice calm and somehow it did things I couldn't explain.

“I’m not mad at you or anything, it's just...just... I don't know.” I whispered, my

AVAI walked briskly, trailing after Selene. We were summoned to the meeting hall suddenly. It's been a week since we last held a meeting and also since Lucas escaped.“Why do you think this meeting is being called for?” I asked Selene.“I suppose it must have something to do with Lucas.” She replied. We entered the already full hall, taking my seat.I felt a burning gaze, and I looked up. Xavier was staring at me. His lips formed in thin line, his hands scratching against the arm of the chair. My jaw tightened, chest burning.leaning close to Selene, whispering, “I doubt Xavier and Logan have any idea about this meeting.”She tilted her head, staring at the two men, her brows furrowed. “Then who called the meeting?”The door swung open, and heavy wind flew in. Leading in front was Elder Marcus, the other elders following behind. Their entrance was a sight to behold. Each clutching onto a golden staff, their eyes glowing different shades.“This can't be...” Selene smiled.“What’s goin

AVAThe night lingered, quiet and peaceful. I sat by Ruby's grave with a drawing board and a set of brushes and pencils scattered around. My chest ached as I drew on the board. I had finally made my decision, and I rejected two Alphas who were ready to kill each other on my behalf.“You paint?” Selene's voice broke the silence. I didn't turn, nor did I pause from my painting.“It’s kind of a hubby,” I replied, turning to her.She hummed a response, sitting next to me.“You’re not mad?” I asked quietly.“Mad?” She chuckled briefly, “And why would I be?”“I didn't choose Xavier?”She smiled faintly, drawing her knees to her chest, her eyes softened as she looked at me, “You had no other choice and it made you look strong.”I laughed softly, staring back at my painting.Strong. That word wasn't what I was, I was just a weakling who couldn't make a firm decision, one who was in love with three men but couldn't make the right decision on whom to choose.“They already hate me, right?” I ask

AVAI paced around the hallway, clutching my hands together. It was finally here, the D-day. I was going to make my decision today, but my heart raced, beating rapidly.“You ready?” Selene asked, strolling in.I wiped my sweaty palms on my dress as I looked up at her. “I’m not sure.”“Well, you have no time to be sure.” Emelia replied, “The hall is quite full, everyone's waiting for you now.”Selene walked up to me, placing her arm on my shoulder, “You’ve thought thoroughly about this right?”“A little bit,” I answered, my voice a little bit tensed. She huffed out before continuing, “I know you can do this. It's either Logan, Xavier or no one. You can make any choice you want, no one's gonna stop you, alright?”I sighed as I breathed heavily, straightening up my face. “Okay, I can do this.”“You know you can actually have the two men right?” Emelia smirked, pacing around.“What?” Selene asked.“I mean, she can claim the two Alphas. It's not bad when you have two hot wolves by your sid

AVA“I’m not pregnant for anyone.” My voice broke through the noise echoing in the room. The room fell silent as everyone turned their attention to me.“I’m not,” I muttered lowly, stepping in front. I raised my head gently, the piercing gaze of every single wolf stung me. Xavier stood still, his eyes wide open as he stared at me.I breathed out before continuing. “I can't get pregnant.”Another round of noise erupted again, and I tilted my head to Selene, and she sat still, her face calm as she stared back at me.“What do you mean child?” Lady Margaret asked.“It was a few years ago,” I chuckled dryly at the confession I was about to make. “I was on my way back from school, and I sat quietly at the back of the school bus. I hated being close to people, I loved being on my own. My headphones were placed properly in my ears as I listened to Selene Dion's music. I had no idea what was about to happen. A few minutes before the incident occurred, I received a call from an unknown caller,

AVAThe rain showered on me as I ran through the village, my tears blurring my view. I had no idea where I was headed; all I knew was that I wanted to be far away, somewhere where no one could find me.The memories of Logan's pleading face flashed, and I felt a pang of guilt. It felt like I had left a dying and helpless man to care for himself. This was the very first time I would see someone like Logan cry. He was always the strong-hearted one, always ready to strike, but now, he was more like a helpless child. My heart ached as I walked through the dark lonely road. Why was I feeling guilty? Why were his tears touching me and making me feel the way I ought not to feel?I shouldn't have gone to see him. I should have listened to Selene and left the pack, and gone to someplace where I can't be easily found. But I choose to stay, I choose to act by my thoughts and behave foolishly and now, this is the consequence of my action. If only there was a way to escape all this trauma, a way wh

SELENEI sat by the oak tree at the back of the hut. I threw stones into the river as I reminisced about my earlier discussion with Ava.She was really a brave kid, she had lots of duties on her shoulders and she had her own emotions to deal with, yet she still stood strong and undefeated. The moon goddess indeed, made the perfect decision in choosing her to become the Alpha. She had all the qualities.“Hey?” Emelia said, sitting next to me.“How did you find me?” I asked, glancing at her.She shrugged, a weak smile on her face, “I just happened to find you.”I hummed a response, nodding my head as I turned back to the water. The stones made tiny sounds as they plumped into the water.“I overheard your conversation with Ava.” She confessed, glancing at me. “You really did well. While you spoke, I kinda felt a great wave, then I remembered the prophecy. You were really destined to offer great help to her. Even though you're not the Alpha, but to me, you'll always be my Alpha.”I scoffe
