KAIA'S POV

The minute I walked out of Xander's office, my heart wouldn’t stop racing. A contract marriage?

It sounded insane. It was insane. But it also made sense.

He was right, Jax wouldn’t dare come near me if I were legally married to someone like Xander Kendricks.

And the media would finally stop spreading rumors about his love life or his ability to reproduce, It solved problems on both sides.

Still, I couldn’t ignore how crazy it was. We weren’t in love.

Hell, we barely spoke after that night and now we were supposed to fake a whole marriage?

I spent the next day thinking about it, I even drafted a pros and cons list.

Pro: Jax would leave me alone.

Pro: I'd gain some level of security.

Pro: It would boost Xander’s public image.

Pro: Financial stability, he’d offered compensation.

Con: It was with Xander.

Con: We’d have to pretend in public.

Con: What if I was pregnant?

The thought kept nagging me, but I shoved it aside. I hadn’t taken a test yet. It might be nothing.

The next morning, I made my decision.

I texted him: "I’m in. Let’s do it."

Within minutes, he replied: "Come to my place tonight. We’ll talk about the details."

That night, Xander laid out everything like a business proposal.

A contract would be drawn, clearly stating the terms: we would remain married for one year, maintain public appearances, and live together under one roof.

There would be no romantic expectations unless both parties agreed. He offered a monthly allowance, plus full protection from Jax.

I read the contract three times.

"This is a lot," I said. He nodded. "If you're not comfortable—"

"No, I’m fine. Just... nervous."

He poured me a drink. "It’ll be fine. We’ll get through it."

We signed that night.

The wedding happened within the week.

It was staged for the press, with just a few close guests, some of his business associates, a few PR contacts, and two of my coworkers I barely trusted.

The venue was luxurious, elegant, and cold, Just like him.

I wore a designer dress his assistant picked out. He wore a sharp black tuxedo.

The fake vows were short and polished. We posed for the cameras, exchanged rings, kissed once for

The media ran headlines like "Confirmed: Xander Kendricks Off the Market" and "Surprise Wedding Shuts Down Impotency Rumors."

Just like that, everything changed, Jax stopped calling. He stopped showing up at my job. The silence was almost unsettling.

Moving into Xander’s house was next.

He had a penthouse overlooking the city, clean, modern, filled with glass and steel.

A full time housekeeper handled everything. My room was on the other end of the hall from his.

We mostly kept to ourselves, we had breakfast together sometimes, talked a little about work or the news, nothing deep or personal.

One night, I was in the kitchen getting water when he walked in, half-dressed in gym shorts and a towel around his neck.

"You okay?" he asked. I nodded. "Yeah. Just thirsty."

He studied me for a moment. "You still haven’t taken a test."

I froze. "I know. I’ve been... putting it off."

"You should. We need to know."

I nodded, took the water, and left.

The next morning, I went to the doctor.

But it wasn't pregnancy. When I told Xander, he didn’t look surprised.

"Glad it’s not what we thought."

"Yeah. Me too."

He paused. "Still... It means no surprises. Clean slate."

Living with Xander got easier, we had routines. Shared space without stepping on each other.

He worked long hours, often coming home late. I kept busy with my own job.

Sometimes, though, I caught him looking at me. Not with lust or coldness, but something unreadable. I wondered what he was thinking.

One Friday night, we sat on the couch watching a documentary. He handed me a glass of wine.

"You handled everything well," he said. "You mean the media circus?"

"All of it. The wedding. Moving in."

"Thanks. It’s been... weird, but manageable."

He nodded. "I know this isn’t normal. I just wanted you to know I appreciate your part in it."

It caught me off guard, that tiny flicker of humanity.

"You’re welcome," I said quietly.

He looked like he wanted to say more, but the words never came.

He gave a small nod, turned, and left the room.

I let out a slow breath and sat down on the edge of the bed.

My heart was still pounding for reasons I didn’t fully understand.

I grabbed my phone, flipping it open just to distract myself.

A few emails popped up, which I replied to. I was about to put it down when the screen lit up again.

Unknown Number.

I hesitated, then answered. “Hello?”

Moments passed without response, then a voice spoke from the other end if the phone.

"You think marrying him makes you invisible?"

My blood ran cold. “Who is this?” I said, standing up.

A quiet, humorless chuckle. “You’re playing in his world now, Kaia. But you don’t understand the rules, You’re not his equal. You’You’ leverage.”

I swallowed hard. “What do you want?”

“I want you to stop pretending you're safe,” the voice hissed. “Because he can’t protect you from what’s coming.”

Just like that, the line went dead, I stared at the screen, heart thundering in my chest.

Then the phone lit up again.

One new message popped up, no sender ID, Just a file.

I opened it.

It was a photo of me taken today when I was leaving the building after lunch, my face turned, mid-step, as if I’d just noticed something.

Only… I hadn’t, I never saw anyone.

But someone had been watching.

And now, they wanted me to know it.

  • Double the sin   Jax

I left the police station that day feeling more confused than ever. The police had promised to keep an eye on Kaia. But that wasn't enough, even with the guards and drivers, someone was still able to hurt her. I entered the car and drove back to.the hospital, to stay with Kaia. I stayed in the hospital for the rest of the day, I was too tired to even stay awake to keep a good eye on Kaia, I kept slipping in and out of consciousness. The next day, I was woken up from sleep by the sound of my phone ringing. I opened my eyes, without checking who was calling, I answered the call “hello,” I said sleepy. “Mr Kendricks, please we need you to come to the station right now. Something urgent needs your attention. The sleep immediately disappeared from my eyes as I stood up from the couch and ran to the door. When I got to the police station, the air in the police station was thick. The tension hung heavy, making every breath feel like swallowing gravel. I sat in the small waiting room,

I placed my head in her palm "You have to wake up," I whispered. "Please. You have to."I didn’t sleep that night. The nurses came and went each time to check her vitals or adjust the drip. The machines beeped steadily. But I never moved from her side neither did I ever feel better. I stroked her fingers, “you have to be strong, Kaia,” I told her about the baby, about the press conference, about everythings that had happened within the last few months. "I love you, Kaia. I’ve loved you for a long time, I know I messed up. I know I made things worse when I thought I was protecting you. But I need you. I need you to come back."She didn’t respond, her eyelids didn’t flutter, fuck, her hand even didn’t move. But I stayed anyway, because I had no one else to blame but myself. And I knew she'd do the same if she were in my shoes, because Kaia is, she always puts others first. The nurse came in again. “Mr. Kendricks, it’s time you took a break, please. You’ve been here since yesterday,

  • Double the sin   Car Accident

I didn't pay much attention to what Tom said about Jax. The next day, I left the office earlier than usual for my prenatal appointment. I didn't go with a driver since the hospital was close to the office. The checkup went fine, normal heartbeat, normal measurements. The doctor told me everything was progressing well and that the baby was healthy. While coming out of the hospital I suddenly remembered Tom, and I suddenly felt very uneasy. I blamed it on yesterday.Seeing Tom again, hearing Jax’s name. Being reminded of that twisted obsession I thought I’d left behind. After the appointment, I decided to head straight home. I wanted to lie down, just rest. As I headed out, a nurse called out “Mrs Kendricks,” I turned around. “Would you like me to call you a driver?” I smiled at her. “No, Katherine, I'm good.”“Have a safe trip back home ma'am” she said and turned back towards the hospital's entrance. I needed the air, it somehow felt very comforting and cool. My thoughts had been

  • Double the sin   Jax's obsession

Throughout that day, Xander never left my side, he was always moaning sure I was feeling okay. The office was quieter than usual this morning. Everyone seemed focused, with their heads buried in their screens or walking briskly between departments. I had just returned from a board strategy session and was about to collapse into my chair when my assistant knocked and peeked through the door.“You have a visitor,” she said.I frowned. “Who?”“He didn’t give his name, but he said it’s urgent… and personal.”I rubbed my temples. I wasn’t in the mood for vague surprises. “Where is he?”“In the downstairs lobby. I can ask security to escort him out if you want—”“No,” I said, standing. “It’s fine, I’ll handle it.”I took the elevator down, expecting a client maybe, or one of the journalists who hadn’t gotten enough gossip last month. But the moment the elevator doors slid open, I was greeted with the familiar sight of Tom.He stood off to the side of the marble lobby floor, wearing jeans a

When I got home, I didn't find Xander at home. Then a text popped up on my screen “Hey love, I went to the office, I'll be back soon.” I made a U turn and went outside, back to the car.“Take me to the office.” I told the driver. “Are you okay Ma'am?” The driver asked while turning on the car. “Yes I am, just a little bit tired.” I said placing my head on the window of the car. XANDER'S POV I was going through spread sheets in my office when I heard Kaia’s voice outside. She was talking to someone outside the door, I smiled and continued going through the spread sheets She walked into my office with a smile on her face, and god, that smile was my weakness. “Hey,” I said, setting my pen down. “You okay?”She didn’t answer right away, her fingers toyed with the hem of her blouse, and she avoided my eyes as she closed the door behind her. That was weird, what's going on? I sat up straighter. “Kaia?”She looked at me and gave me a small smile, “I went to the hospital,” she said.M

  • Double the sin   You're pregnant

I was lost in the sensation, in the way he filled me, in the way his hands held me steady as he took what he wanted. His mouth found my neck, his teeth grazing my skin as he whispered words that made me shiver with need. “You like this, don’t you?” he growled. “Being used like this. Being mine.”“Yes,” I gasped, my voice barely audible. “Yours.”The fear of being discovered only added to the intensity, each thrust more urgent, each touch more desperate. I could feel the tension building inside me, a coil tightening, ready to snap. “Xander,” I whimpered, my voice breaking. “I’m close.”“Me too,” he groaned, his pace quickening. “Cum for me, Kaia. Let go.”His words were all I needed. My body shook as I climaxed, my walls clenching around his cock, milking him, drawing out his own release. He followed moments later, his thrusts becoming faster, his grip on my hips bruising as he cummed inside me. For a moment, we stayed like that, his dick still buried in my ass hole.We were both brea
