I woke up the next morning, still feeling sore from the night before. My head throbbed, I could barely remember a thing. 

Where am i?

I tried to stand up, but a strong hand gripped me by the waist....

I turned, it was Xander

What was I doing in naked bed with my late Father's bestfriend, slowly, the images of last night started coming back. 

The words "I want you to fuck me", “yes daddy” “go harder daddy.” Replayed in my mind. 

Shit shit, what have I done? 

I slowly and carefully removed his hands from my waist. I looked around for my clothes, I saw it, but when I picked it up, it was torn. 

How did that happen? 

Then I remember him tearing it and spanking my ass.

I picked up his shirt, it was oversized, but there was nothing I could do. I wore it, it was long enough, so I walked out of the hotel with my shoes in my hands. 

Thank God, it wasn't crowded everywhere yet, so I boarded a vehicle and went home. 

At home, I didn't meet Jax, that I was thankful for. I looked into the closet and he had packed his things. I decided not to dwell on the betrayal and let things go back to normal. 

The sex with Xander, I was going to let that go as well and fall into my daily activities. 

My daily routine: wake up, go to work, come back home, and sleep. 

Everything was good aside from the fact that my ex Jax kept bugging me. 

He visited my home, came to my work place, even harassed me on the street. I had to do something, I was going to meet with Xander to see if he could help. 

I hadn’t called or said anything, I just walked into Global Holdings like I had every right to be there.

“Good morning, I'm here to see Mr Kendricks.”

The receptionist looked up, her fingers pausing over her keyboard. “Do you have an appointment?”

“No,” I said calmly. “But he’ll want to see me.”

She raised a perfectly groomed brow. “And your name?”

“Kaia Wallis.”

There was a flicker of recognition before she picked up the phone. 

She spoke in a hushed tone, then glanced back at me, a moment later, she nodded.

“You can go up. Top floor. He’s in.”

I stepped into the elevator, heart beating fast as I watched the numbers climb. 

The moment the doors opened, I moved without hesitation.

When I walked into his office, Xander was at his desk, phone in hand. He looked up, surprise flashed across his face, but it vanished just as quickly. 

“Kaia.” His voice was low. 

I shut the door behind me and held his gaze. 

XANDER'S POV 

Seeing Kaia stand in front of the door, i remember that night. 

I never really forgot it, I had been having flashes and even daydreaming. 

I tried to push it off by bedding other girls, but none felt like her. 

Even now, I was having thoughts, I wondered how she would look pinned to my table as I took her. 

I looked away from her and inhaled "is everything okay Kai?" "Please sit," I told her. 

She looked down at her hand and walked forward, avoiding my gaze. 

She really had turned into a fine young woman. 

She looked up and bit her lips slightly, my gaze went to her lips, I wondered what if would feel like if I bit- 

".. are you listening Xander?" My thoughts were cut off by her voice. "Yes I am, go on." 

"My boyfriend Jax has been disturbing me since we broke up." 

She paused and looked at me, studying my expression, before continuing "I do know what to do to make him back off, I thought you might have an idea, that's why I came."

I sat there for a while, thinking, then an idea popped in my head. 

Since the press wouldn’t shut up about me being forty-four and unmarried. 

Some were even suggesting I was impotent, investors were getting nervous, and it was starting to affect the company.

Global Holdings wasn’t as bulletproof as I liked to believe.

Kaia showing up? It was perfect timing.

“Do you trust me?” I asked, leaning back in my chair.

She blinked. “What?”

“I said… Do you trust me?” She hesitated, but nodded. “Yeah. I do.”

“Good, then let’s get married.”

Her eyes widened. “What?”

“A contract marriage,” I said. “It’ll clean up my image, silence the media, and get Jax off your back, no one’s going to touch you if you’re mine.”

She stared at me like I’d grown a second head. “You’re serious?”

“As a heart attack.” She looked down, thinking. “This is crazy.”

“It is,” I agreed. “But it works for both of us.”

She got to her feet slowly, still dazed. “Okay… I’ll think about it.”

She turned and walked toward the door, then she stopped and looked back over her shoulder.

“Oh… one more thing,” she said, voice low. “What is it?”

“I might be pregnant.”

Then she walked out, leaving me stunned.
