Both Riana and Clara looked at the way from where the voice was coming.

“Jackson?? What are you doing here?” Riana was surprised seeing the tall blond-haired man standing before them. He was wearing a red hoodie with navy blue jeans.

“Shouldn't you be in the hospital right now?” Clara asked with suspicious eyes on the blond man. “Are you here to see your girlfriend, before going to work?” Added Clara wiggling her eyes. “Claraaaaa, what are you saying? Haven't I already told you that Dr. Jackson and I are just good friends?” Riana replied before Jackson could say a word.

Hearing Riana, Clara groaned in annoyance.

“Oh, please. Boys and Girls can not be just good friends. At least one of them will fall for the other one eventually.”

“Don't worry about me Clara, I won't fall for your sister for at least the next 100 years. But I can't say the same for you sister though. I mean, I know how it's almost impossible for girls to resist my handsome face and she's doing well so far. But who knows how long she can resist.” said Jackson with a cocky smile.

“Yeah right, in your dreams.” Riana countered back.

“Anyways, I'm extremely tired right now so I'm going to sleep. Bye, you guys have fun,” Clara winked at both of them and went inside the house dragging her exhausted self.

After Clara left Jackson sighed as he felt bad for the unfortunate girl. “So she still lives with you hah?”

“No, she got her place in the town about a month ago and that's where she lives. But sometimes when she feels lonely, she comes here to stay with me.” Riana explained the situation to her friend.

“Oh, she’s finally starting all over again.” Jackson smiled for Clara thinking that she is finally moving on from the shadow of her painful and tragic past.

“Yes, she even stood up against her ex-boyfriend in the bar.” Riana smiled feeling proud for her. “What!!!!” Jackson was shocked hearing that. He could not imagine Clara meeting her

shit-headed ex-boyfriend. The way he treated her was unbelievable and unacceptable. When he first heard about that guy he wanted to bury him alive, six feet under the ground. So when he heard that Clara finally stood up against scum like him he was very shocked.

They were sitting on the wooden sofas in Riana’s living room while sipping the freshly brewed hot chocolate milk coffee together as Riana told him what happened at the bar in full details. “Wow, really? To think she was once the weak little girl that I saved from killing herself by overdosing herself with sleeping pills. She surely did change a lot and that's all thanks to you.” said Jackson and took a sip of the smoking hot coffee. Usually, he prefers the bitter tasted black coffee that hits him just right in the spot and makes him feel energetic in beat. But when he's with Riana, he always drinks her favorite chocolate milk coffee with her. Because when he is with her, he feels all relaxed and cozy like at home, as if there's no need to rush things out. It's only Riana who can make him feel like that and that's why he's been friends with her for more

than 7 years now. Even though Riana is the super introvert type who literally hates specializing, he always stuck around her.

“It's really amazing how you completely changed her personality. She is like a completely different person now.” Jackson said who was genuinely amazed by Clara’s transformation. “ When I first met her, she was so weak and fragile as if she would break the moment you touch her. Her heart was broken to pieces and I didn't hear her talks for months. At one point, I even thought she had gone mute due to the shock and abuse she went through.” A sad smile was formed on Riana’s face hearing Jackson talk about Clara’s old conditions.

“But now, she’s always smiling or giggling, even coming out of her shell and countering her problems head-on. Now she's so strong with the help of her big sister.” Jackson smiled as the words left his mouth.

“I call it reverse personality. I just brought out the characteristics that were concealed within her.” Said Riana while taking a sip from her coffee. “It took a lot more time than I thought and many counseling sessions. But in the end, it was all worth it.” A satisfied look could be seen on her face. Of course, she was satisfied cause Clare was her best achievement. It was thanks to Clara that she was able to find her true self.

“Still, you psychiatrists amaze me. Changing a person’s life and showing them reasons to live on, it's really fascinating.” Jackson continued showing his appreciation of Riana and her job.

“So what brings you here so early in the morning? Do VIP Doctors have too much time on their hands nowadays that they don't know how to spend it?” Riana said in a mocking tone to tease a certain VIP doctor.

“Actually you are right, more or less I'm always free unless some VIP old geezer arrives at the hospital. Most of the time they just come to have a rest or to flee from certain types of problems. They are literally making the hospital their own personal hotel suite.” Jackson sighed in annoyance. “I miss being a normal doctor. All that VIP glory is not for me.”

“Come on, shouldn't you be happy since you are the youngest VIP doctor in the country or something like that? You didn't even invite me to your promotion party.” She frowned as she spoke.

“What promotion party are you talking about? Oh, I remembered, you are talking about the one I hosted in your dreams.”

“No, Seriously! Shouldn't you be happy that you got so famous because of your talent? Why are you so down then?” She couldn't understand what her friend was thinking. Why wasn't he happy for being so successful?

“Riana, you and I both know I got that position because Dr. Robert died suddenly and I just filled in his vacant position. Moreover, I wanted to be a real doctor who saves lives. And nowadays, I don't feel like a real doctor anymore.” Jackson sighed loudly.

“So then why did you accept the position in the first place?”

“Well, curiosity killed the cat. I just wanted to know how being a VIP feels like and you were right, it feels like crap.” He put the coffee mug which is now empty on the black tea table in front of him. Then he stood up and so did Riana. “I guess you have to go now.”

“Yeah, I have to be on my way.” With that, they both walked towards the front door, and soon they were standing in the front yard.

“Didn't you bring your car? Do you need a ride?” said Riana as she couldn't see his car around. “Of course I brought it or else how do you expect me to come here in the middle of nowhere?” Jackson replied to Riana as if she asked the dumbest question ever.

“No, I was just checking if you finally lost your mind and decided to walk all the way here.” Riana countered back.

“Ok ok, you win, I forfeit. I can never win against you.” Jackson laughed. “Anyways, I have to go now. See you again.” He bid his goodbye and walked to his car which was parked a little distant.

At the office of the special team of detectives-

There were only two people present in the room. Mr. Gray and Kate. Kate was busy typing away her keyboard and intensely staring at the monitor. Her Harry potter glass that lied on the bridge of her nose reflected the different colors of lights that were coming out of the screen. The headphone around her neck, the messy hair bun pinned by a pencil, the speedy typing skills, and her constant chewing noise from chewing gum gave out an aura like a professional gamer rather than a detective.

On the other hand, Mr. Gray was busy dealing with all the investigation reports that were piled up all around his desk. The piled-up reports almost turned into a small mountain and he has to go through that mountain of papers thoroughly.

“WHAT THE HELL,” suddenly Kate cursed out loud. Hearing the sudden scream Mr. Gray was shocked and as a reflex, he jumped out from the desk. The sudden jump out caused his hand to have a collision with the mountain of papers. Things that happened next seemed like happening in a dramatic slow motion. The mountain of papers slowly broke right in the middle and the papers were flying everywhere and soon the room was flooded with scattered investigating reports and Mr. Gray standing in the middle of it.

At that time Jean entered the room and seeing the scene before her she got dumbfounded and stood there as if she got stuck. The same thing happens to the next person who entered, which was Mr. Anderson followed by Stefan.

Apparently, Stefan, Jean, and Mr. Anderson wanted to do some field investigations so they went to the victim's houses where their corpse was found.

And also they were looking for any possible witnesses. But they had no luck in that and thought it would be better to go back to their office and do some manual work but now seeing the scene in front of them they are referring to their decisions internally.

A few moments later-

Everyone was helping Mr. Gray arranging the papers. Well almost everyone. The person who caused this catastrophe is still aggressively typing away on her keyboard without blinking. As if she was in another world oblivious of what had happened just a moment ago.

“SERIOUSLY!!!” again she let out another scream causing everyone to flinch a little. But hopefully this time it didn't cause another disaster like the other time. Stefan put the pile in his hand and stood beside Kate who was checking some security cam footage.

“Did you find anything?” Stefan asked the anxious woman.

“No and that's the problem, I can't find a single clue. I've already watched these videos at least ten times each. Yet there's not a single clue.”

Kate was now holding her head in frustration.

“What are you watching anyway?” Jean asked. Now she was standing on another side of Kate’s desk and leaning towards her monitor she was trying to see what Kate was so stressed about. There were six videos playing simultaneously on the monitor. It looked like some kind of security footage around from three different houses, the three victim’s houses that they visited just a while ago.

Then she noticed something odd.

In one video there were lights on the road as if some car was about to pass by but the next second instead of the light being more vibrant it totally vanished.

“Where did the light go?” Jean asked Kate who was rubbing her temples because of frustration.

“What light?” Kate replied.

“Replay it,” Jean then pointed at the certain video. Kate zoomed in on the video and then replayed the video.

“Here, stop.” Kate did what Jean told her to do and paused the video. Stefan also leaned on to see what Jean was talking about.

“Here look, there is a light. But the next second it disappears.” Kate looked closely and noticed that what Jean said was true

“What is the big deal about it. Maybe the driver just turned the lights off.” Said Stefan.

“Yes, but why? Why would anyone just turn off the headlights in the middle of driving at night?” Jean questioned. Then it clicked on everyone’s mind.

It might be the killer or his accomplice.
