"Now, where were you, Griffin?" Raya asked, taking the glass of wine on her left hand.
In front of her was the same woman dressed in black, her long black hair resting in peace.
"Forgive me, my Lady. I got an important task…" answered Griffin.
"Do the magic...tell me. When am I childing?" Raya asked with so much hope, her beautiful face filled with anticipation.
Crawford bowed down before leaving the women to discuss.
Raya was never giving up, on the contrary, she wanted to make Nathan pleased.
At the same time, Nathan was sunken back on the sofa chair, a glass of red wine in his hand, his gaze fixed on the girl sleeping there on the bed.
He was thinking about the things running on her mind...that's why she is always the grumpy one.
He was thinking about her uncle Sam...that bastard needs to learn a lesson he won't ever forget.
On second thoughts, his mind diverted to the kiss they shared...not only once.
Gulping all of his drink, he stood up to walk up to her and sat beside her.
Carefully yet gently touching her face, brushing his thumb towards her lips, he felt the heat around him.
She was like a sleeping beauty, so very beautiful and calm.
The knock on the door disturbed his admiration when he stood up to walk away.
In his bedroom was standing Crawford when Nathan uttered, "I asked you to find out about Sam Harper...what about that?"
"Yes, my Lord. I found out about him...he lives with his wife and in-laws."
"Well, keep an eye on him, Crawford. I might want to pay a short visit to him soon…" were his words.
"My Lord, there is a serious matter I want to discuss with you…" Crawford mumbled politely.
Nathan cocked his head, his eyes a little twinkled when the bodyguard started speaking.
His expressions changed from calm to annoying, a hard-line appeared on his forehead when he retorted back, "Why is she doing this?"
"It's clear, my Lord. Our Ladyship wants…" Nathan cuts him off blurting, "She is not the Ladyship anymore, Crawford. Ask her not to bother. I am finding another bride for myself…"
Hearing this, Crawford was astonished yet he kept a poker face, giving a certain nod to his master.
"Griffin told me she called her...is this the matter?" asked the Lord.
Genevieve woke up looking around, she remembered what happened to her and she was damn annoyed at the man.
Jumping out of the bed, she hurried out of the room.
On the left side, she saw a room and twisted the doorknob she barged in without even knocking.
Genevieve walked a few steps and just then the floor to ceiling doors creaked open.
She glanced up a tall and handsome familiar unknown stranger stepped in, a white towel slung over his shoulder, water dripping from the ends of his dark brown hair, his exquisite features presenting a noble temperament. His deep hazel eyes moved to focus on her and like sparks shocked her.
That's him! She thought walking forward, unsure which direction to take.
"It was you who did this to me!" she felt white-hot anger rise in her chest at the injustice and humiliation of it all and her body pulled towards him.
She pounded to him like a bristling cat.
"You…" she spoke, clawing at his face.
He grabbed her arm and pinned her against the wall, putting his weight on her.
She was being imprisoned from both sides, forced to look at his face.
The freshly scented deodorant he was wearing was kinda hot for her to handle at this moment.
"Wow, I knew you were hot but right now I feel like I've underestimated you…" he whispered, his hot breath brushed onto her face.
She had just parted her lips to speak and that's when he attacked her sweet lips with an intimate kiss.
As the intensity of the kiss grew, her hands urged to touch him and feel him but he didn't allow her.
When he pulled away, he pressed his head against her and looked into her eyes directly. He released her wrists but not her hair, it was still in his grip.
"Why are you doing this?" she asked in hushed tones.
"Why not?" was the question he asked her.
She became silent...not being able to utter the perfect come back, she swallowed her words.
"Tell me, sweetness. Do I make you nervous?" his hands brushed her pale face and heat crept along all over it.
Gazing directly in his hazel eyes, she noticed a hint of authority and power, he was a dangerous being.
He wasn't the kind who gives up easily and now that he got his eyes on this girl…
"Mr Nathan Blackmark, you kidnapped me…" she declared bluntly when he withdrew from her to ask, "Did I?"
"Yes, you did and…" showing him the anger she stopped speaking when saw the bitterness in his face.
"You made the first move, Ms Harper. Don't make me remind you that again…"
"That was a one-time mistake!" she blurted out insanely when he reacted, "Well, I love to repeat the mistakes."
Before she could say anything, he dropped off the towel from his waist and a loud gasp released from her mouth as she immediately turned around.
"I don't mind you staying here while I get dressed…" were his words.
Genevieve was standing, glued in her place, both of her hands covering her eyes.
A few minutes later when he walked up to her, looking ravishing in his black tuxedo.
"Alright, Ms Harper. You can now open your eyes…"
Hearing this, she moved her hand from the eye and opened her one eye, the moment she took a look at him, she saw he was dressed.
He pursed his lips in a thin line to speak, "You would not want to make me late in today's meeting, right, Ms Harper?"
Knocking on the door and getting the permission from his master, Crawford stepped in the room with a shopping bag in his hand.
Nathan took the plastic bag from his hand and gestured to him to wait outside.
"What's this?" asked the naive assistant girl.
"Go and get dressed. We have a meeting in fifteen minutes…" ordered the boss.
She rushed towards the washroom and wore the dress.
It was a business suit in beige colour and it fitted her perfectly.
"Let your hair open…" he suggested when she walked out of the washroom and she turned to look at herself in the mirror.
Genevieve was getting ready in front of her boss, in his room while he with a poker face was guiding her.
With a hand in his pocket, he turned to walk out with her following him.
While walking out of the mansion, Raya was standing in the upper story, her hands clutched to the railings of the staircase.
"Who is she?" she asked Nancy who politely answered, "Assistant…"
And that's when she remembered she met her once...at the office.
Her name might be…
"Genevieve Harper…" she muttered under her breath.
Nathan and Genevieve were sitting in the SUV van, they were side by side, he was secretly enjoying her when she was unaware of it.
The suit look... kind of gave her a professional and powerful look.
Her mind was racing with so many different thoughts...the man was married and yet he keeps on kissing her every time.
And now if this happens again, she will either slap or insult him.
"What's on this little mind of yours?" there...he broke the silence and she was so ready, to be honest with him.
"You know as a happily married man, you can't just kiss another woman...its…" he cuts her off asking, "Who said I'm happily married?"
It took a second for her to understand and answer him, "I mean...your wife is so pretty…"
Turning his face to the window, he stared out while uttering, "Not everything just about looks."
Now, she was curious. If not looks then what was he talking about?
And if he is not happy with his marriage then why is he even...
That's why he is keeping on kissing her?
"Whatever the reason is...Mr Blackmark. I want you to maintain a distance with me or else…" she became silent when he titled his head, his left eyebrow lifted.
"Or else?" he asked in hushed tones.
She didn't answer when he continued, "Or else I would be pinning you against the wall and lifting your right leg, grasping it with my hand and I kiss you."
"Or else I would be kissing your neck and leaving a mark on it."
"Or else I would whisper dirty things in your ear that you won't be able to resist me which you pretend to…" his voice became alluring for her and she gulped thinking about all the dirty things he could do to her.
"Or else I would set you on fire...Ms Harper…" for the first time Ms Harper seemed more like a threat...sexy when he spoke.
The car stopped at the gate of the lavishing grey coloured building and the bodyguards came to open the door from both sides.Nathan stepped out, hoisting his shades at his eyes, adjusted his blazer and Genevieve jumped out to follow him.
It was dinner time, Genevieve walked out in the garden where the dinner table was arranged for the guests. The people were chattering, Nathan was present there too. Genevieve took a secretive look at her boss, dressed in a white polo t-shirt with black jeans, he looked handsome. She, on the other hand, was dressed in a knee-length floral frock, her hair let loose to her back, blowing from the air. After dinner, the people were having drinks, talking about business, some were admiring the beautiful place. The resort had everything including the ocean, giving a breathtaking view. Genevieve was standing by the ocean, the cool ocean breeze blows through her long hair and engulfs her, causing goosebumps to rise on her arms. The sea was not like anything else never created. It had a beautifully charming effect on people generally and a relaxing and relieving one on others. The water
"What are you talking about?" Nathan just got out of the cold shower and he was wearing a white coloured bathrobe with two ladies present in his bedroom."My Lord...Thralia is in danger...there's been an attack by an unknown enemy."When Griffin informed him this, anger rushed down his veins."Who dares to?" his voice was gruff.Raya erupted, "My Lord...I think it's time for us to visit Thralia. We've been here so long that our antagonists have forgotten what and who we are…"She had the most beautiful twinkling violet eyes while she was speaking."Griffin
Swiftly he manoeuvred himself so that he sat beneath her on the chair, and she was in his lap. He didn’t cease his bombardment of her senses for several minutes, utilizing mouth, tongue, and hands to cloud her thoughts. He was quite successful; but then, he usually was when it came to handling a woman. He’d spent years perfecting his technique, after all.Raya and Nathan were making love behind the close doors of his grand suite, she missed this, missed him. It's been a long time since he eased himself in her, filled her with all of his love. And right now everything seemed enchanted, she wanted to kiss him forever, feel the taste of his sweet lips.B
"Tell me, cousin. How did I get so lucky today?" Nixer let out an evil smirk while facing the Lord.He scoffed to say, "Nixer, don't play with me, cousin. You and I, we both know the reason I came to visit you…"Nixer walked away and leaned back to the wall, crossing both of his arms at his chest as he began, "First of all, cousin. I don't give a damn why you're here.""Secondly, it's nice to have a rival company. Ah, you know, I was missing you," he spoke in a mockery."Thirdly, I have no idea who caused the murder."With that, he made an expression as if he got an idea or something.
It's been two days and Genevieve was wondering where her arrogant boss has disappeared to.Crawford informed her that he went on holidays with his wife, Raya. This man was such an asshole...fascinated by his wife and yet he plays with her assistant. After finish her work in the office, she went home. The sudden, swift, severe summer storm caught her unaware. She was walking down the old tree road when the clouds started to build. She looked around as she huddled under a large, dead oak tree.Almost all of the houses on this abandoned street were too badly damaged for her to take shelter in, except for the one.
"My Lord, the dragons want to see you…" Cyprus nestled close to Nathan and whispered in his ear. While having breakfast with his First Lady, he excused himself wiping the mouth with a napkin.Nathan has always been a decent yet cruel being, he adores his etiquettes more than anything. While Raya was being the curious one, leaving the fork and the knife from her hands, she gently folded her hands at once. With a snap of her fingers, she asked for Griffin to come to her service. In this magical land, no one has to act like humans, the witches were common in Thralia.
Genevieve was washing the dishes in the kitchen when she heard a loud thud coming from the room of the old woman.Rushing there, she glimpsed the woman who was laying on the floor, unconscious."Grandma! Grandma!" her voice became shaky all of a sudden as she went on her knees, trying to grab the woman. She tapped her cheeks a few times, then became confused. In bewilderment, she stood up to rush out of the house and in bafflement she bumped into a tall figure.Realising it was someone she blurted out while sobbing, "My….grandma...please help her."The han
