Sera twisted in front of her mirror, her red curls bouncing with each twist. “If I get hotter with this beauty, the moon goddess might descend to claim me herself hahahaha.” she expressed loudly.

“Come on Ivy” Sera’s voice rang out, full of fun moments as she twisted in front of me, her Peach short dress shaking with each twist, and her glowing curly hair bounced.

“Are you going to stand there looking like sacred meat who is about to be dead?”I gave her a half smile. “You know I don't like crowds.” Sitting on the edge of her bed, still undecided, still holding the same plain white dress I had pulled from my wardrobe.

“You don't like anything that involves joy Ivy.” she teased, now sitting and hanging her legs on my shoulders. “Besides, it's not just a party. It’s the Moon Ceremony, maybe this is the year you meet someone who will….”

“Don’t say it,” I cut in quickly. “No, don’t say that word. “Well, I don't think I should go,” I muttered for the fifth time.

Sera rolled her eyes dramatically, while mimicking my words, “Ivy, you're coming. Your mum is not going to notice, all you have to do is to blend me, you can't just miss that ceremony all because your mother told you not to go.”

“I’m serious, Sera” I whispered, lowering my eyes to the lace of the white dress on my lap. “Something doesn't feel right. I woke up with the dream again, same man, same forest burning around me.”

Sera looks calm and relaxed, she leaned forward, her voice softer now “Do  You think it’s magic?”  I didn't answer.

I had spend all my years pretending to be normal, suppressing everything about myself that didn't fit. But lately, my mother’s behaviors has changed, the way she watched the moon like it was cursed. The way she avoided saying the word “Hybrid.” Ever since I turned twenty, something have started to shift, I could feel it in my dreams and bones.

“Ivy…” Sera’s voice brought me back. “ What if the dreams means something or you're meant to go tonight.” She snapped. I looked up sharply. “You mean I should disobey my mother after she has actually warned and begged me  not to attend the party?”  “No, fate might not wait for permission you know…” Her voice was firm now.

I stared at her, the excitement hidden behind her eyes. To her, this was an important moments of this year. The moon Ceremony wasn't just a party though. It was the night more people come for powers, connect and honor mates. It was mainly meant for wolves to find their true mates. But for me, it was a night I would never tell anyone I attended.

“I shouldn't go.” I muttered, trying to convince myself. “Okay,” she said, standing up. “Then stay here and be the mysterious boring girl worldever, I’ll just go alone and probably meet someone as cute as snow and as the voice of a fallen angel durrr.”

 “A fallen angel?” I raised a brow”

“Oh yeah,” she smirked. “Anyway, a regular anger sounds too boring for me.”  I twisted my leg and just like that the tension loosen a little bit. Sera reached down and grabbed the white dress from my lap, throwing it at me. “ Put this on. You're coming with me, if your mother ask, we will both say you were with my aunty baking pies.”

“Do you think she will believe that?” I asked, giving her a questioning look. “No, but at least we will have fun before you're locked up forever.”

I stood slowly, my heart pounding in my chest. Something inside me stirred. Not fear, not joy but I was anticipating what is about to come.

     **************

Later that night, The ceremony was already alive when we arrived there. Everywhere was glowing and sparking with colors and shinny stars, the moonlight casted a blow over the crowd. Lanters were hung from trees to trees, each flames was dancing with the wind. Soft musics was playing at the background.

My dress clung to my skin, the silky white lace almost glowing under the moonlight. Sera looked like summer goddess beside me, her Peach dress was bugging her curves perfectly as she walked majestically.

“Do I look hot ?” she asked, swaying her lips dramatically. “Hot,” I replied flatly.

She winked. “That’s what I thought.”

We wandered among the crowd, passing familiar faces, strangers, and couples too wrapped up each other without noticing anyone else. I tried to stay in the background, but Sera as usual had other plans. The music played gently from drums and flutes. Wolves danced, some already paired off, their bonds recognized with cheers, Sera was not left out, she was already pairing with a guy…feels weird. And yet, I stood there, looking dumbfounded.

“Hey,” Sera said loudly, walking towards me, noticing my face. “You okay?”  “I…” I stopped, something was wrong. I felt hot, too hot. Like the air around was getting thick and turning to flames. My breath was slower this time, my heart was beating fast.

“I need to step out,” I muttered, forcing a small smile. “I’ll probably just get some air outside, please don't follow me.” I snapped. Sera insists on following me but I declined. “ Alright,I’ll be waiting Ivy.” She nodded.

I turned and slipped through the crowd, heart pounding fast. As I stepped into the quiet hallway that lead towards the West of the Council House, I swallowed my breath. The silence at the hallway wrapped around me like a cold cloth. I leaned against the wall.

“What’s wrong with me?” I whispered, pressing my palm to my chest. Then, I heard some whispers at the edge. A woman’s voice or maybe a Man. I shook my head trying to stay still, One step at a time. And then, I collide with someone very hard.

“Ouch!” I stumbled back, blinking my eyes. A strong arm caught me before I could fall, his scent hit me first, then I looked up, the dark eyes, sharp, cold and piercing. The man standing in front of me was tall, dressed in White fabric that hugged his broad shoulders, he was looking furious but he didn't talk right away.

He was stunning, not in a romantic way, not at first. He was seducing, his eyes were calling my names, his lips was everything, looking dangerous and weird. For a second, he was confused just as me.

“I…I’m sorry,” I stammered. He didn't let go of my arm immediately, them he left it suddenly, his grip loosened. “You should watch where you’re going.” he said finally, but his tone wasn't harsh, just distracted. I nodded quickly, my eyes locked in his. “ I didn't mean to..,”

Why did it feel like my chest has just cracked open?

  • Dreamt My Alpha Mate   External Bridge

DUAL POV(IVY & LYRA)IVYThe Bridge breathed. Not the old stone span that once divided wolf from witch, blood from blood, but the living arc of light and shadow rising from its bones, humming softly beneath the triple moons. It glowed now, not bright enough to blind, not dark enough to frighten. Balanced. Steady. Alive.I stood on the hill with Damon, our hands linked, our shoulders touching the way they always did when the world felt whole. Below us, the valley shimmered with lanterns and laughter. Wolves shared fire with witches. Hybrids moved freely between them, no flinching, no fear. And at the center of it all, our daughter walked the Bridge.Lyra Seren had grown into herself. Tall now. Calm. Her hair caught the moonlight, silver threaded with gold, shadow resting easily at its edges. She did not hurry. She never did anymore. Each step was chosen.“She carries it lightly,” Damon said, voice low.“She carries it honestly,” I replied. We watched as she paused at the Bridge’s midpo

  • Dreamt My Alpha Mate   The Dawn Council

Ivy’s POVThe weeks after the ritual passed like a held breath that never quite released.Golden Valley healed on the surface. The land greened again. The lake was still. The sky stopped tearing itself apart. Wolves returned to patrol without snarling at shadows. Witches rebuilt wards without glancing over their shoulders every few seconds.Peace came back. But it felt different this time. Thinner. Sharper. Like glass polished smooth enough to reflect the truth you weren’t ready to see.I stood at the edge of the council circle and watched them gather.Wolves first, heads high, shoulders squared. Witches next, staff grounded, eyes alert. Hybrids followed, some cautious, some openly curious, some still afraid they did not belong anywhere at all.And at the center of it all sat my daughter.Lyra Seren Draven. She looked older than she had weeks ago, not in body but in presence. She sat quietly, hands folded in her lap, dark-and-light hair braided down her back. When she lifted her gaze,

  • Dreamt My Alpha Mate   The New Moon Child

Damon’s POVThe light vanished so fast it felt ripped away. One second the ritual circle was burning white, the next it was nothing but cold air and the sharp echo of Ivy’s scream fading into silence.I hit the ground beside her before anyone else could move.“Ivy,” I whispered, pulling her into my arms. Her skin was ice. Her lashes didn’t flutter. Her chest barely moved.“No, no, no, stay with me,” I pleaded, shaking.Gemma stumbled back, shielding her eyes. Kara dropped to her knees beside Lyra’s, no, Seren’s empty place in the circle. Sera pressed a hand over her own mouth, choking on panic. But all I saw was Ivy. My mate. My life. My entire damn world is barely breathing.“Damon,” Gemma said softly, but she sounded miles away.“Don’t touch me,” I growled, holding Ivy tighter. “Don’t take her from me.”The ritual markings on her wrists faded into faint silver scars. Her pulse flickered under my thumb, too weak, too thin, like a thread stretched past breaking.“She gave part of her

  • Dreamt My Alpha Mate   The Mother’s Offering

Ivy’s POVThe moment the sky split open above the temple, everything inside me went rigid. The ritual circle tightened around my ankles, warm and cold at the same time, like the moons themselves were pulling me in opposite directions.Lyra trembled beside me, her small fingers locked in Seren’s. Seren’s shadows flickered all over her skin, crawling like restless veins trying to escape. The girls leaned into each other, both breathing fast, both terrified but refusing to let go.Damon’s hand hovered near my back as though he was scared touching me would break whatever thin thread kept this moment together.“Ivy,” he whispered. “Tell me what you need me to do.”I shook my head. “Just stay close. And don’t let go of them, no matter what happens.”Seren’s eyes darted up. “What do you mean, no matter what?”Her voice cracked, and it stabbed something deep in my chest. She had never learned how to be calm. She had only learned how to survive. The moonlight flashed again, red and white twist

  • Dreamt My Alpha Mate   The Eclipse Rises

Damon’s POVThe moons hadn’t stopped moving since dawn.By nightfall, the whole sky felt wrong, too bright, too dark, too silent. The kind of silence that comes when the world is holding its breath before something breaks.I stood at the entrance of the Bridge Temple, staring at the heavens as wolves gathered behind me, witches forming their circle on the other side. The air vibrated with storming energy, sharp and metallic, crawling under my skin like lightning with no place to strike.Ivy came up beside me, Lyra’s hand in hers. Our daughter’s eyes glowed gold and silver, shifting like water under light. She looked up at the sky without fear.“Papa,” she whispered, “it’s starting.”I took her free hand. “I know, starshine.”Ivy looked at me then. Her eyes were tired but steady, brave in that way only she could be. “She’ll come,” she said softly. “Seren won’t hide from this.”I wanted to believe her. I wanted to believe Seren wanted healing, not chaos. But the memory of her voice, sof

  • Dreamt My Alpha Mate   Two Hearts, One Fate

Ivy’s POVSleep didn’t come that night. Not after Seren’s face. Not after her voice. Not after hearing her call herself daughter.I lay beside Damon, staring at the ceiling, Lyra curled between us with her tiny hand gripping my shirt like she feared the night itself. Damon kept his arm around both of us, but his breathing was tense, too controlled to be real sleep.“Damon,” I whispered. He didn’t open his eyes. “I know. I’m thinking about it too.”“Seren… she wasn’t lying.”His jaw clenched. “I hate that she looks like you.”“I know.”“And I hate what she said even more.”“I know.”Lyra stirred softly, mumbling in her sleep. “Mama… don’t let her fall…”Damon and I shared a look. We didn’t need the bond to tell us she wasn’t talking about a dream. Our daughter never dreamed normal dreams. He brushed a hand through her hair. “Get some rest,” he murmured. “I’ll stay awake.”But I couldn’t rest, not with the sigil glowing faintly on my palm and Seren’s last words echoing through my head.
