Chapter 8: The Party

Gigi spent the following days resting, that's what she should've done the exact moment when she arrived home but she was interrupted by Liz getting in her way. Her conversation with her, as brief as it had been, impacted her a lot. So, as soon as she got home that day, she decided to take off the Liz pictures hanging on her wall and pretend the Liz episode did not happen.

Her week passed by smoothly, she did not realize how tired she was until she spent entire days just sleeping, she needed a break. She thought she was going to miss LA like crazy but she found herself comfortable walking around her childhood house, having long conversations with her mom -even though she could be a pain in the ass sometimes- and just enjoying the 'family' atmosphere.

Even though Liz had crossed her mind a couple of times, she was always brushing the subject off, she did not want to think about that ever again so she promised herself that Liz was over for her and she was keeping that promise.

At the end of the week, on Friday, while she was painting her nails, she received a text from Jayla.

"Girl, sorry that I did not pay enough attention to you this week, this girl is really busy. Can I make it up to you by inviting you to tonight's party?"

Gigi hated parties, she hated big crowds and drunk and sweaty boys trying to touch her. She also wasn't a big fan of getting drunk either, even though she still got drunk every time she had a chance, and hated even more having to be nice to people.

But she had nothing better to do, and she really wanted to see her friends (she felt less guilty when she was around them because they treated her like nothing had happened) and she was sure that she was going to have a fun time with them just because she loved them.

Without thinking it too much, she carefully typed on her phone: "Sure! Can't wait! And don't worry, I was with my head in the clouds this week too."

It was true. Gigi had been sleep-walk living the whole week and hadn't even thought for a second about calling Jayla, which made her feel terrible. She was given the chance to fix some of her mistakes and was taking it for granted.

"When aren't you with your head in the clouds? I'll pick you up in two hours. Get ready. Wear something sexy ? "

Gigi really held on to that last text. She was wearing something sexy for sure. Her thin legs were visible, her belly was showing and her hair wasn't in a ponytail that time, it was falling from both sides of her face. The red crop top she was wearing really made her look hotter and the matching red skirt was making her legs look even longer. She took her time getting ready and even used her favorite perfume.

As she was finishing her makeup, she thought about Liz. Was she going to be there? Was she going to the same party as them? Was she hot enough for Liz? Was Liz going to the party with Delilah? She really needed to get drunk or else she was going to keep thinking about Liz.

Truth was, as much as Gigi had missed Liz the first few months when she moved away, she then got used to the void and started living her normal life. Yes, she thought about Liz almost every day because she had been a really important part of her life but she never worried about loving her or still missing her as she was doing now. Anyways, Gigi thought that she was feeling all that because of the place she was in, it was normal to feel nostalgic after all.

"Wow, wow, wow!" Sarah appeared at Gigi's room without knocking, something Gigi still hated, and stared at her while she was looking at the mirror. "Where are you going young lady?"

"Jayla is picking me up in half an hour to go to some stupid party." Answered Gigi and rolled her eyes. "Do you think I look good or this is too much?"

"I thought you hated parties! LA really changed you!" Teased Sarah "Of course you look good, Gigi, you are beautiful no matter what you wear."

Gigi turned around in front of the mirror to watch other angles of what she had on. Control freak Gigi was in the building that day, ladies.

"I hate parties but, I don't know I really missed Jayla and also I've been watching movies and sleeping the whole week, I feel useless." Admitted Gigi.

"You're not useless, you're resting, Geeg." Sarah hugged her, her only child was the most important thing to her. "Have fun and please don't drink alcohol and drive."

"I hate driving and I hate alcohol but I will try my best!" Joked Gigi and throw a look at her mom that meant 'please leave me alone'.

By the time Jayla picked her up, she was almost impatiently biting her nails, one of her worse habits. She was sitting on a chair and spinning around until she became dizzy like a kid when she noticed Jayla was downstairs waiting for her. She checked if she had everything she needed (which was her phone, make up and her ID) and tiptoed downstairs.

Her dad barely looked at her while she was leaving, which was a relief since he would probably have said disgusting things about her outfit choice and Gigi felt free. It was a beautiful night and she wanted to enjoy it, nothing was going to ruin it for her.

"What's up girl? I said sexy I did not say make me fall in love with you!" Jayla said as soon as Gigi got into her black car.

"Well, the feeling is mutual Miss Hallivan" Gigi replied. Jayla did look hot, she was wearing a purple dress that really accentuated her figure and her makeup was on point as usual.

"I'm so happy that you're here, girl!" Jayla started driving and touched Gigi's leg to show her some affection. "I really missed you and I know you hate parties but it's been a while since we've partied together so we're gonna have a great time."

Gigi did not dare to ask if Liz was going to the party too. Not only she had convinced herself that she did not care but also she did not want to ask about her to anyone. They soon picked up Alma, Nicky and Wanda and Gigi felt like she was sixteen all over again going to high-school parties with her best friends even though someone was clearly missing.

"I don't want to see your new tattoo, thank you. I don't have ANY desire to see your ass tonight. No, ma'am." Nicky almost yelled to Alma and they all busted into laughter. Gigi again, felt at home. Being around her old friends made her serotonin level go up so fast that she almost couldn't believe how happy she was.

"You wish you could see this booty, and it's fine. We all know you're in love with me." Alma teased and put her arm around Nicky's shoulders while the girl rolled her eyes.

"No please, no more affairs between us. One was enough!" Wanda said and Gigi's heart stopped. She thought her friends were going to react in some kind of way but they all just giggled. Was it that normal to them?

They arrived at the party a couple of minutes later. It was at a big house full of people and smoke everywhere, Gigi almost couldn't see anything around her. The music was too loud and college boys were already breaking windows by accident. Gigi thought that party was going to be over in a minute but she was so wrong, she had a long night ahead.

The only way Gigi found to have a nice time was by drinking. She said she was just 'remembering the old times' but the truth was that if she did not, she was going to end up crying all night because of Liz. The memories of her were still in her head but that night they seemed to be stronger and mixed with nostalgia.

"I'm not taking care of you tonight Gigi, just know that." Wanda warned and Gigi replied raising her middle finger up.

They had fun the first couple of hours until the alcohol started kicking in. She was feeling sexy and started dancing and moving her hips in the middle of the improvised dance floor. A couple of boys tried to dance with her but she was just having fun with herself and her friends so she pushed them away. She really was having the time of her life.

Gigi did not know how or when but by 2 a.m Nicky was already standing on a table twerking and Jayla was making out with two different people at the same time. She had lost Wanda and Alma, who were probably smoking, and she felt really lonely. Yes, she was having fun by herself but she still did not want to be completely alone.

She suddenly felt the need to pee so she started making her way to the bathroom until she pushed someone too hard to move them out of her way and that stranger ended up spilling their whole drink on Gigi.

"What are you doing, dude? Be careful next time! Dumbass." Gigi sighted, she hated drunk college boys. Well, she hated boys in general. He did not even apologize and Gigi just had to roll her eyes again while she acted like Cher from Clueless.

She finally found the bathroom at the end on the second floor. By the time she arrived she felt like she had spent three hours looking for that place.

She opened the door without knocking, maybe she was just like her mom, and saw the last person she wanted to see. "Oh! I'm so sorry Liz." Liz was there? Her heart started to beat really fast.

"Why would I do that?" Liz complained and tried to kiss her girlfriend once again. They were sixteen lying on Gigi's bed on a normal Tuesday night. Gigi's mom did not like people staying over during weekdays but always made an exception when it came to Liz. Everything was an exception when it came to Liz. "Because it's late and we need to sleep." Liz was not buying that. She knew Gigi was going through something, and had been going through it for the whole day but was not willing to share it with her. "Gigi, it's me, you can tell me anything, you know?""How do you know me so well?" Gigi half-complained and turned to her left to face Liz. "What if someday you ever stop loving me?" She threw that thought so fast to Liz that the orange-haired had to think if she had heard that correctly. "Is that what got

Until one day she discovered the one thing that she could not do: flying. She was seven and was looking at the sky with Gigi laying next to her when the idea of flying appeared in her mind. She had run to where her mom was, at the kitchen preparing the most delicious cookies for them, and told her that she had found the one impossible thing she was never going to able to do: flying. Her mom found the situation too adorable to crush her daughter's dreams so she told her that if Liz tried hard enough, one day, she was going to be able to fly. • Dress   The Spy

Chapter 56: The SpyDelilah St. Louis could be many things. She was a clever girl, with the most amazing grades and a higher IQ than the average one. Her beauty was undeniable, no one had ever made her feel like she was not cute enough, she even had 'pretty privilege' when she went to parties and social events in comparison to her other friends. She was always offered drinks and let into places for free. She was independent, she had moved away from her house when she was just sixteen and had multiple jobs ever since without anyone's help. Delilah was hardworking, bright, impressive, reliable, punctual, and many other things, but she was not dumb. Yes, she could act as if she was dumb and make people think they could trick her, yet she always knew when something was not right, when something was not true. She could almost smell lies from miles away. Liz and she had started dating many months ago, she could not even count how many months they had been seeing each other with her fingers

  • Dress   Marco

Chapter 55: Marco"Why did it take you forever to grab two coffees I was dying of boredom here" Gigi complained and Liz felt even sadder. Leaving Gigi waiting outside was almost nothing compared to what she just got into, but it still made her feel terrible. Gigi was so relieved to see Liz coming out of that place, she was thirsty and also missed her terribly even if she had just left minutes ago. The orange-haired was holding two big drinks in her hands, both had cream on top of them and were iced, so Gigi was intrigued. When she tried the beverage, it tasted better than she had imagined and she felt butterflies in her stomach thinking about how much Liz knew her. "What? You were already missing me?" Liz shot back with a flirty tone, she was determined to forget what had happened and just enjoy her day with Gigi. If she could make her feel happy even for some hours, she was going to do it. Gigi's happiness was her happiness too. "What is this? This tastes great" They started slowly

  • Dress   Deal

Chapter 54: Deal"Gigi, you know I hate walking" Liz complained after following Gigi for fifteen minutes. The blonde was walking way too fast for Liz's taste just because of how excited she was. She had never imagined that being around Liz was going to boost her energy that much but it was what she needed to be completely happy. "Liz, you are the most annoying person I've ever met, and I'm not exaggerating" Gigi replied without breaking the smile she had been holding since Liz had agreed to follow her. "Can I at least know where are we going?" Gigi just nodded her head and held Liz's hand even tighter, she was not letting her know where they were going. It was the perfect day for being together and the perfect moment for them to go to that place they were heading to. They both felt like people were vibrating in symphony with them as they all seem happy and Gigi and Liz could only see smiley faces around them. Even if they were walking in complete silence, they were enjoying each

  • Dress   Are You Mad At Me?

Chapter 53: Are You Mad At Me?It was more than a surprise for Gigi to be wakened up by a noise and that noise being Liz standing right behind her. "Liz? What are you doing here?" Gigi was truly surprised and thought it was getting more common than she would like to admit casually seeing Liz again. "What are you doing here?" Liz shot back and started frenetically touching her hair. She was nervous, especially after what had happened the previous night and how many risks she was taking just for being there. "I needed to clear my mind a little bit and?. I don't know, I really like this place." Gigi looked vulnerable, she was so tired of being a 'bad girl', that day she felt different. "Can we talk?"Without even waiting to say yes, Liz sat down in front of her almost immediately. Yes, she wanted to talk to Gigi. Yes, she needed Gigi around and yes, she wanted to kiss Gigi. Also, the sun looked beautiful on her soft skin so she wanted to admire it from a closer spot. "I wanted to apol
