FAZER LOGINA moment later, the luxury car arrived in the front yard of a large and luxurious white house.
High columns surrounded the three-story house.
Servants immediately greeted Alena and invited into her grandfather's room.
"Grandpa!"
Alena's voice made Jake Wilson, who was lying on the bed, turn his head toward the door.
"Alena! My granddaughter!" his arms opened to welcome Alena's hug.
Alena ran over and hugged Jake tightly.
The meeting of grandfather and granddaughter was an emotional moment that made everyone smile.
"Grandpa, I apologize for running away on my engagement day and leaving home to marry a man who doesn't appreciate me," Alena said, bowing her head.
She was ashamed in front of her grandfather.
"I have heard everything from Victoria. I exchanged messages with her. Victoria told me about your broken marriage with Jason and your miscarriage. Jason is an asshole! I'm going to make him regret dumping you," the anger was obvious on Jake's face.
The old man's jaw hardened.
"You don't have to do anything to get back at my ex-husband. Let that be my business. I know what I have to do, Grandpa. You're sick. I don't want you to get any worse because of Jason."
Hearing this, Jake held back his emotions as he rubbed his own chest. He also looked deeply into his dear granddaughter's face.
"That man made you suffer. How dare he hurt you. Alena! Since you've returned to this house, Grandpa will give you back all your possessions. The apartment, the car, some of the real estate you used to manage. It will all be yours again."
Alena's eyes widened.
After five years of ups and downs on her own, she was suddenly rich again.
Jake asked the server to get some of Alena's car keys.
"These are all your car keys. You must really miss driving, huh?"
Alena smiled a little, her hands clutching the keys to the luxury car she had been given.
She hadn't driven her own car for five years.
"Yes, I really miss driving."
"From now on, you can drive as much as you want. Oh yes, one more thing. Since I'm no longer productive, I'm going to hand over the 'STARSHINE Enterprise' company to you. I'm sure you'll make the best CEO."
Alena's mouth fell open at Jake's words.
How could it not be? STARSHINE Enterprise is the second largest company in New York and has always been run by Jake.
But today, Jake turned the company over to his only granddaughter, Alena.
"Thank you, Grandpa. I promise I will never let you down again," Alena said as she hugged Jake tightly.
After releasing the hug, Jake spoke again. "Alena, do you remember your fiancé that you left behind?" asked Jake with a teasing smile on his face.
Alena shook her head. "Sorry Grandpa. I even forgot his name."
"He was the eldest son of the Scott family, the number one richest conglomerate family in America. He's handsome and a good businessman," Jake explained.
Alena's brow furrowed as she listened carefully to her grandfather's words about her fiancé's background.
"So far, he's still single. He seems to really love you. Alena, if Grandpa asked you to resume the delayed engagement between you and the son of the Scott family, would you agree?" Jake asked hopefully.
Alena was silent. She thought for a moment.
Actually, at this time, Alena was not thinking about starting a new relationship with another man, especially a man she had never met.
But not wanting to disappoint her grandfather, Alena replied. "Give me time to decide. Right now, I want to focus on getting my heart in order, Grandpa."
"All right. I'll wait for your answer. Thank you for coming home! Welcome home, Alena Wilson!"
"Thank you, Grandpa."
"Alena. I've been invited to a party at Mr. James' hotel tomorrow night. But I can't go, so come to my place out of respect for Mr. James. Besides, there's someone who wants you to go to the party with him."
"Who is this person?"
"He's your fiancé, the one you left five years ago. His name is Darren. Even now, he wants to get close to you. Look how excited he is waiting for you to come home."
Alena was speechless.
Darren? Alena had even forgotten her fiancé's name.
It had been five years since Alena had broken off her engagement to the son of the Scott family heir. And now Darren was still waiting for her?
"Tell him I can't go with him to Mr. James's party."
"What? Why is that, honey?" Jake frowned.
"Because I'm going with Victoria. I'm not ready to see or talk to the person I left behind, Grandpa."
Sighing, Jake nodded in understanding. "Well, that's your choice. I respect it."
Alena smiled a little and hugged Jake tightly.
Luckily, when Alena was dumped by Jason, she still had her grandfather to go home to.

Mr. James' party...
The elite party was held at the luxury hotel 'Velvet Star', owned by James.
The guests were from the upper class. Businessmen and conglomerates, including top artists whose names are internationally known.
"Wow, the party was really lively. Thanks to Kylie, we could go to a wealthy businessman's party. Kylie really is the best future daughter-in-law." Anna couldn't stop giggling as she walked through the door of the ballroom.
Since Kylie had an exclusive invitation that allowed her to bring 2 or 3 other people, she decided to bring Jason and Anna.
Jason saw the party as a great opportunity. There were famous businessmen there, and he could approach one of them about working with him.
"Thanks for inviting me and my mom to this party, Kylie," Jason said to Kylie, who was standing next to him.
Kylie smiles sweetly. Tonight she wore a knee-length pink dress, her hair pulled back in a bun.
"You're welcome."
"It's lucky you're dating Mr. Wilson's only granddaughter. That's why we get to be at this fancy party, Jason."
Jason nodded in agreement with his mother's words. Meanwhile, Kylie smiled.
"That's right, Mom. It's a shame Mr. Wilson couldn't be here. I'd love to meet him and introduce myself as his granddaughter's boyfriend."
"My grandfather is busy. So he couldn't come. He just asked me to come to this party as his representative in honor of Mr. James," Kylie replied gently.
"You seem to have forgotten that Mr. Wilson is a big businessman. Of course he's very busy." Anna patted Jason's shoulder.
Jason smiled and nodded his head.
At that moment, most of the guests' attention was drawn to someone's arrival. Their eyes were drawn to the entrance of the ballroom, where Alena walked gracefully in a peach-colored dress.
The dress was sleeveless and reached to her ankles. There was a slit down the right side that showed off Alena's long legs.
"Who is this woman? She is very beautiful. The dress she's wearing fits her body perfectly. Look at the way she walks! Doesn't she look elegant?"
Kylie, Jason and Anna could hear the whispers of the guests, who were surprised by Alena's arrival.
Kylie's face immediately turned red. Jealousy rebelled in her heart as Alena was praised in such a way.
Alena? How could she be at this party? I made sure she wasn't invited! Kylie muttered to herself.
“There's something I want to show you, but to see it, you have to come with me right now.”Curious about what her grandfather wanted to show her, Alena nodded in agreement. She immediately asked her secretary to bring her bag from the CEO's office, then she got into the same car with her grandfather. It turned out that Jake took Alena to a luxurious villa in Puncak. The villa guard bowed respectfully when he saw Alena and Jake arrive.Alena walked while pushing her grandfather's wheelchair. They were kindly invited into the villa.“I just found out that Grandpa has a villa in this area,” Alena commented as she looked around the villa. All the furniture looked classic and the paint was dominated by light gray.“This isn't your grandfather's villa, it belongs to your parents.” That an
Taking a deep breath, Alena placed her iced americano on the table, then sat down in her chair. Meanwhile, Victoria sat in the empty chair in front of Alena's desk.“Exactly. Aside from my bakery, I don't want to enjoy anything that reminds me of the bitterness of my marriage to Jason. That house witnessed the collapse of our marriage. I don't want to enjoy a single penny from the sale.”Hearing this, Victoria understood Alena's feelings and nodded her head.At that moment, the secretary opened the door after knocking.“Excuse me, Mrs. Wilson. Mr. Darren is here to see you,” said Alena's secretary.Victoria's eyes widened. “Wow, Mr. Darren came before lunchtime. He really didn't want to miss lunch with you, Mrs. Wilson.”“Shut up!” Alena's eyes widened.Victoria just giggled. &
“Sorry, boss. She kicked us hard in the crotch. We were just shocked.”Marco snorted in annoyance at their excuse. As the bodyguards were about to grab Alena's hands again, Alena immediately said firmly. “If you dare to touch my skin even with your fingernails, I'll make sure you rot in prison!”“What did you say? You dare threaten us?” the bodyguards laughed.“Pretty lady, your threats won't scare us. Who are you to put us in jail?” Marco stood with his hands on his hips. He stood in front of Alena, who raised her chin fearlessly.“She is Mrs. Alena Wilson, the granddaughter of Mr. Jake Wilson.” Suddenly, a man in a gray suit stepped in and startled everyone. Except Anna and Alena.“J-Jake Wilson? The richest businessman in the country?” Marco gasped, his voice choked with surprise.
Their eyes locked in a sharp, cold stare. Darren pulled one corner of his lips up in a crooked smile. “You’re the asshole, Jason. You’re not only the destroyer of Alena’s life, but also a parasite in her life. After you cheated on her and abandoned Alena, now you’re doing everything you can to make her your wife again just because you found out she’s the real granddaughter of Jake Wilson?”Jason was silent. But his eyes were still sharp.“You already have diamonds, but you chose pebbles instead. Luckily, Alena has come to her senses and no longer loves a foolish man like you. Next time, don't be so obsessed with other people's wealth. Because trying to take what belongs to others will only drown you in an obsession that can never become reality.”“I don't need your advice,” Jason snapped sourly.“This isn't advice, I'm just stating the facts.
“Yes, Mr. Darren.” The security guard then dragged Jason out of the CEO's office.Once they were gone, Darren pulled Alena into his arms and held her tightly. He was sure Alena must be traumatized by Jason, who had hurt her in the past. Therefore, Darren tried to calm Alena down while gently stroking his girlfriend's hair. However, Darren's brow furrowed when he realized that Alena was standing restlessly, sweating. Her eyes stared at Darren while she occasionally swallowed hard. Her lips trembled as if she was holding something back.“Alena, what's wrong?” Darren asked frantically.“What did that bastard do to you?” Darren cupped Alena's cheeks with both hands. He asked seriously.“He injected me with a stimulant. Help me, Darren. My body is burning up. I can't take it anymore. I can't hold on,&r
Alena shook her head, then said firmly. “I'd rather die than give my body to a jerk like you,” she hissed.Alena then sneered and spat in Jason's face.Jason felt his pride hurt, his face immediately turning red.He grabbed Alena's jaw tightly.“Don't be arrogant, Alena! Right now, you can insult me and reject me, but a few moments after the drug takes effect, you will kneel before me, begging me to touch your body.”Alena tried to free her jaw from Jason's grip. But Jason roughly pushed Alena to the floor, causing her back to hurt as it hit the hard tiles.“Help! Help me! There's an intruder in my room,” Alena screamed as Jason roughly pulled her to the other corner of the room.“No one will hear your screams, you stupid woman. I've locked your secretary in the bathroom.&rdqu
