Mag-log inThe diamond ring should have been in her handbag. Alena kept her favorite ring neatly in the bag she always carried, but now it was somehow in Kylie's hand.
"You're deaf, aren't you? Kylie told me that if she's Mr. Wilson's granddaughter, she must have the ring." Anna replied sharply.
This brought a broad smile to Kylie's lips.
"No! That's my ring. How did you get it? You must have stolen it! Give it back to me now!" Alena tried to grab the ring out of Kylie's hand.
"Jason, help!" Kylie screamed in panic, trying to move the ring out of Alena's reach.
"Alena! Have you lost your mind? Get your hands off Kylie!" Jason pushed Alena violently to the ground.
The impact was quite hard. It startled Alena and made her stomach hurt instantly.
"Kylie, are you okay? That bitch doesn't know herself!" Anna checked on Kylie.
Meanwhile, Jason glared at Alena, not caring that she was clutching her stomach in pain.
"I'm divorcing you today! My lawyer will take care of our divorce right away," Jason said.
Suddenly Alena felt dizzy.
Looking down at her thigh, Alena was surprised to see fresh blood running down it.
Jason was just as surprised. For a moment, the man looked stunned.
"Jason... my stomach hurts. Please, I'm pregnant with our child..."

In the hospital.
Alena blinked her eyes slowly.
When she came to, she looked around. It turned out that Alena was lying in a hospital bed.
"Jason!" she called to Jason, who had just entered the ward.
The man's face was cold. There wasn't the slightest sign of worry on his face.
"How is our baby?" Alena asked anxiously.
Handing Alena a document, Jason replied nonchalantly. "Your baby didn't survive. Now sign this quickly. I want a divorce right now!"
Already dead?
Alena's chest was crushed. It felt like a dry twig breaking.
Alena couldn't describe how devastated she felt.
Alena stared at Jason speechlessly. The man she thought was so sincere was now breaking her heart.
"Why the silence? Hurry up and sign! Don't make it hard for me to marry Kylie!"
"You have the heart to do this to me. After sacrificing so much of my life for you and your mother."
"Not so much drama! I don't love you anymore, okay? I don't want to live with anyone but Kylie!"
With trembling hands, Alena grabbed a pen and signed the divorce papers.
Jason smiled with satisfaction, closed the document, and thanked her.
There was not the slightest hint of sadness on Jason's face after losing his baby.
"Oh yes, Mom and I have packed all your clothes in a suitcase. When you've recovered enough, you can pay your hospital bills and go wherever you want. You can't stay at my house anymore."
Alena was stunned. "You and your mother should have left! The house is mine. I bought it with the money I saved from selling bread, in case you forgot!"
"Property bought during marriage is joint property. That means the house is mine too. You've been eating out of my salary for the past three years, right? So think of this as paying for all the money you've ever eaten from me."
"So, this is your true nature? I thought you were the most honest man, Jason."
"You're too naive, Alena. What man would love a boring, bread-selling woman like you?" Jason laughed.
Alena did her best not to show Jason her sadness. She had just had a miscarriage. She was too physically weak to fight this man.
"Okay, just take my house! We're divorced now. I'm out of your life. But remember one thing... if one day you beg me to come back to you, I won't even let you cry blood and kneel at my feet," Alena said with a clenched jaw.
"Ask you back?" repeated Jason, then smiled mockingly. "That's impossible," he continued and turned to leave Alena.
All Alena could do at the moment was cry.
Her hand felt in her belly, where there was no longer a growing fetus.
"I'm sorry, my child. I can't protect you from the hands of these bad people," Alena sobbed.
In the afternoon, Alena went straight home from the hospital.
But she had no money to pay the hospital bill.
"I'm sorry, Miss. You must pay the bill before you leave."
"How much is the bill?"
"Six thousand dollars."
Alena wrung her hands in confusion.
Where did she get the money?
Alena had checked her purse in the suitcase. There should have been about ten thousand dollars in it. But it was gone. Jason or Anna must have taken it.
"Let me pay the hospital bill," said someone who suddenly approached the administration with a black card.
Alena turned and recognized the woman's voice.
She was surprised to see the face of a woman five years her senior.
"Victoria? You?" Alena squealed in surprise. Her eyes widened.
Alena still remembered who the woman in front of her was. It was Victoria, her grandfather's assistant.
"Hello, Miss Wilson. I finally found you. I've been searching for you for five years. Mr. Wilson is very ill. He misses you very much. Will you come to the house?" Victoria asked with a friendly smile as she bowed her head in front of Alena.
Mr. Jake Wilson?
The 75-year-old man was her biological grandfather.
Yes! Alena is Jake Wilson's granddaughter and heiress of a conglomerate family.
Five years ago, on the day Alena was to be engaged to one son of the Scott family, the number one richest family in America, Alena ran away from her engagement to marry Jason.
Even before Alena saw what the man she was getting engaged to be looked like.
Alena didn't care. Her blind love made her leave all her wealth behind, choose a simple life and disguise herself as an ordinary woman selling bread on the outskirts of the city.
Alena thought Jason was the most honest man in the world. But today he betrayed her after she sacrificed so much for him.
Now Alena heard the news that her grandfather was looking for her. To be honest, Alena really misses her grandfather. But remembering the foolishness she had done five years ago, Alena felt ashamed to face her grandfather again.
"Victoria, do you think Grandpa will forgive me? I embarrassed him by running away on the day of my engagement."
"No, your grandfather will forgive you. He himself asked me to look for you all these years. He misses you very much. Don't you miss him too?"
Alena smiled a little. Her eyes were teary.
Of course, she missed her grandfather, who had taken care of her since she was a child after her parents died in an accident.
"Okay. I'm going home!"
A wide smile spread across Victoria's face. She immediately ordered the driver to come and bring Alena's suitcase.
For the first time in five years of simple living, Alena could finally sit in a luxury car and be chauffeured by the Wilson family.
"Sorry, Miss Wilson. It looks like you have a hard life out there." Victoria engaged Alena in conversation as the car sped through the city streets.
"You're right. I just lost my future son."
Victoria looked surprised. "I'm sorry about that."
"Thank you."
"And your husband? Where is he? Why isn't he with you in the hospital?"
"We are divorced. He divorced me and chose to be with his mistress after I sacrificed a lot for him."
"Miss." Victoria was taken aback. Her hand rubbed Alena's back. "That man has no right to hurt you like that. Should I send a bodyguard to teach him a lesson?"
Alena shook her head. "No need," she refused and turned to Victoria. "I have my way of avenging his betrayal," Alena continued, her eyes flashing a plan.
Yes! Alena thought she had come up with an idea to get back at her husband.
"Jason, you made me lose my baby. You and your mistress will never live in peace until you pay for what you've done," Alena said to herself.
The once stupid Alena is dead! Now there was only Alena Wilson!
Alena took a confident step forward. However, her steps stopped when her eyes met those of Jason and Kylie standing in front of her."Why Ms. Wilson?" Victoria asked. She joined Jason and Kylie in staring. "Who are they?""My ex-husband and his mistress," Alena replied.Victoria's face grew grim. "How can they be here? Do they have any connection with Mr. James? How presumptuous. I will have Mr. James check their names and make sure they are ejected from this party." Victoria had already lifted her foot to go to James. But Alena stopped her hand. "Leave they alone. There's no need to do anything to expel them, Victoria.""But I'm sure you feel uncomfortable with their presence, miss.""Whether they are there or not, I don't care. My intention in coming to this party is to represent my grandfather," Alena concluded firmly.Obeying her boss, Victoria nodded and let Alena go first.Just then, Anna approached Alena and gave her a disdainful look."Hey! Who invited you, Alena? Did you snea
A moment later, the luxury car arrived in the front yard of a large and luxurious white house.High columns surrounded the three-story house.Servants immediately greeted Alena and invited into her grandfather's room."Grandpa!"Alena's voice made Jake Wilson, who was lying on the bed, turn his head toward the door."Alena! My granddaughter!" his arms opened to welcome Alena's hug.Alena ran over and hugged Jake tightly. The meeting of grandfather and granddaughter was an emotional moment that made everyone smile."Grandpa, I apologize for running away on my engagement day and leaving home to marry a man who doesn't appreciate me," Alena said, bowing her head. She was ashamed in front of her grandfather."I have heard everything from Victoria. I exchanged messages with her. Victoria told me about your broken marriage with Jason and your miscarriage. Jason is an asshole! I'm going to make him regret dumping you," the anger was obvious on Jake's face. The old man's jaw hardened."You do

Clutching the letter from the hospital stating that she was six weeks pregnant, Alena walked to her door with a big smile on her face."I can't wait to see Jason's reaction. He'll be thrilled to know we're having a baby," Alena murmured, stroking her flat stomach. She and Jason had been married for five years. All that time, they had been waiting for a baby. But today it all came true. No wonder Alena felt sick to her stomach and her head was often dizzy. Apparently, a new soul was growing in her womb."Jason! Honey! I'm home!" Alena slammed the door and entered the house. There was no answer from her husband. Jason should be home from work by now.Inside the large and magnificent house, Alena searched for her husband's whereabouts. Her feet moved up the stairs, then toward her room. But the closer Alena got to the room, the clearer Jason's voice came from inside, sounding like he was with a woman. "Jason, please hurry!""Are you challenging me, my love?""Today, you are stronger th
