Dying for Her Test, Reborn for Revenge

In the living room, Mom was smiling as she entertained two women.

One was Melissa Wright, sitting in a wheelchair, and the other was Sarah Hawkins, dressed head to toe in luxury brands.

Just like in my last life, my younger brother, Elliot Wilson, couldn't take his eyes off Sarah.

Meanwhile, our youngest brother, Eddie Wilson, who was just watching the drama unfold, noticed how pale I looked. He chimed in mockingly, "It's an obvious choice.

"Dariel dresses like a total peasant. He's a perfect match for the blind lady. Elliot has been the school heartthrob his whole life. We can't let a loser ruin his chances."

I clenched my fists. "So you're saying I should be the one whose future gets ruined? Me? The one who puts food on your table? Have you forgotten how you're even alive right now?"

Elliot and Eddie were twins, three years younger than me.

Ever since we were kids, our parents had brainwashed me with the idea that the eldest brother was like a father figure. I was expected to protect my brothers and help support the family.

As a result, they always got the best food and the newest clothes.

When Eddie suffered from kidney disease and needed a transplant, I was the one who gave him my kidney.

Now, Eddie wanted to marry a wealthy woman, but he couldn't afford the engagement gift. Mom had the nerve to track down the Wright and Hawkins families, whom we hadn't contacted in over a decade, and demanded they honor an old arranged marriage arrangement made by our elders.

The plan was to use the engagement gifts Elliot and I received from these brides to pay for Eddie's wedding.

But since I had been reborn, I had nothing left to lose.

"I choose Sarah. If I don't get her, I'm not marrying anyone!"

Everyone froze.

Elliot's face flushed with sheer panic.

I had never spoken up so fiercely in this house before, let alone taken anything he wanted.

He immediately shot a desperate look at Sarah.

Sarah took the cue. She instantly slid over to sit next to Elliot and nestled into his arms. "Elliot and I fell in love at first sight. As his older brother, surely you wouldn't tear a loving couple apart, right?"

Elliot gripped her hand tightly, his eyes welling with tears. "You know I don't know how to take care of anyone. I could never live with Melissa. If her condition got worse, the guilt would kill me.

"Didn't Grandpa teach you traditional medicine? If you marry her and somehow cure her, that would still be doing a good deed."

I glanced over at the silent Melissa, and a faint smirk played on my lips. "So you're saying you've officially chosen Sarah, right?"

He nodded quickly.

Dad immediately sealed the deal. "Alright, then it's settled."

But the next second, Melissa moved. She raised her hand, took off her sunglasses, and revealed a pair of perfectly clear eyes. Then, she stood right up from the wheelchair.

Walking past me, she went straight up to Elliot with a smile. "You don't need to worry about taking care of me. I was just playing a little joke on everyone earlier.

"And while I might not be from Seabrook, my father happens to be the wealthiest man in Jullerton. You'll live a very good life if you marry me. Elliot, will you give me a chance to pursue you?"

I sneered inwardly. As expected, she was reborn too.

That made things a lot easier.
