The twinkling stars and the dazzling full moon gave beauty to the dark sky. The cold wind blew like it was quarrelling with earth and the snow fell like rainfall but the moment the snow reached the ground, it turned scarlet as the land had turned into a pool of blood overlaid with dead bodies. On that beautiful night was heard clashing of swords and cries of anguish as more lifeless bodies fall to the ground, killed with no mercy. [ At Grey Forest ] Dana stood beside the window side of her chamber blankly staring at the moon shimmering bright and giving beauty to the night. She could not even fall asleep knowing that the day to choose her spouse was coming, the full moon which was two days from now. She had tried to delay it but the elders kept insisting and it worried her people that she had no spouse at her age as it was their belief that a Queen ought to have a spouse whom she can rely on.
