Manuela’s POV

I could not allow Flavian's family to stay in a hotel, no matter how luxurious it might be. It would still be a hotel - impersonal and meaningless, especially since their son lived in an apartment and could host them. Moreover, Flavian had been so kind to my family, making sure to welcome them when they were here. So, if we could host my family, we could certainly host his family too.

I also had another motive: I wanted to see how they behaved together and wanted to resolve all the differences between us once and for all. I wanted to hear their side of the story and hoped for a possible reconciliation. I knew Flavian would dodge the issue if they stayed at a hotel. But I also needed Lexie, as I had noticed she was the only one who could speak frankly with her father without them fighting. So I would gather this family in our apartment - of course, some adjustments would be needed, but that was easy.
