The weekend at the horse ranch marked our last days of peace and quiet before the wedding. The week flew by in a whirlwind, with thousands of preparations and my family driving me crazy. I'd reached the point where all I could think about was getting married already so this madness would end, or maybe we should just run away and get married secretly at any courthouse, just Patrick and me.

Melissa was euphoric when I sent her the photo of where I wanted to get married and told her about my idea. She thought the place was perfect and was already full of plans.
