I was thrown out of my own house with nothing but the clothes on my back. It was humiliating, and I wouldn't accept it. I would use the divorce signing as an opportunity to reclaim everything that was mine: the house, the car, the money, the company shares, everything!

The driver stopped in front of that dull little house. I asked him to wait a moment and rang the intercom. Lucas opened the gate, and I hurried inside.

"Forgot your key?" He stood at the door, watching me cross the small garden.

"I left home without my purse. Go pay the taxi, then we'll talk," I ordered.
