S5-Chapter 172

Anabel’s POV

I never thought I could be this happy in my life! My honeymoon had been like a dream, Rick was the most caring and gentle man in the world, and I didn't even want to leave that deserted island. The place was beautiful and we had incredible days together. But the ten days flew by and we were back to real life.

I went to visit Lionel and told him about the wedding and the trip. He seemed to enjoy listening, giving crooked smiles and squeezing my hand. He was different, looking at me differently, with what seemed like a loving gaze. But he could be very emotional too, just like me, and when I hugged him goodbye, he let out such an emotion-filled sigh. I told him I would be back the following week and he made an effort to lift his working hand to touch my face.

When I got home, I found Rick, Don, and Flavian. They seemed tense, especially Rick, but they smiled when they saw me.
