Flavian Moreno’s POV

Where the hell had Ilana and Irina gone? I had been working for more than two days straight trying to track down those two, barely getting any sleep—I needed to find them. I had already gone through all the possibilities several times. They hadn't approached Vanessa and Vivian yet, nor Don and Ana. Where could they be?

"Detective, narcotics just arrested Machado!" Little Renata burst into my office.

"Now that's good news. Let's head over there right now—I want to have a little chat with Machado." I pulled my eyes away from the board I had been analyzing and turned to Renata, just in time to see Breno rush in.

"Detective, they just called us to a crime scene—homicide," Breno said, looking tense, and I let out a heavy sigh. The day was off to a bad start.

"Anything special about it, Breno?" I found the call strange since I was focused on recapturing Ilana and Irina.
