Fernando’s POV

I arrived at the hospital Monday morning with renewed determination. Melissa was right. I needed to be more assertive and dominant, confident in what I was doing in my new position. Or, as Alvaro had advised, after the girls left the apartment, I needed to leave mama's good boy behind and become a firm, decisive man. And the first thing I'd do was have a little chat with my assistant, who was getting a bit too nosy.

"Good morning, Hannah. My office." I said as I walked past her.

"Yes, boss." She came in and closed the door.

"Hannah, you're my assistant and you're not here to play messenger or to watch over me. I don't want gossip in this hospital, and I don't want my assistant meddling in my personal life." I warned her, and her almond-shaped eyes widened. "Whatever happens here that might interest Melissa, I'll tell her myself. Was that clear?"

"Perfectly!" She answered, making a huge effort to bite her tongue instead of talking back.

"Now, let's get to work."
