Asha

Two days has passed since Auren 'took a piece of my soul'. It has been hard to catch up since it literally took something away from me.

I now walk around in a haze, almost knocking things over. It has been hard— I want myself back.

I'm sitting sprawled on the couch, eating donuts, and watching a reality TV show.

The doorbell rings, which catches my attention. I look in the direction of the door, "I thought he said he never had any visitors?"

Asha I stretch my legs under the table, finally feeling alive. It's been days since I've had a stagnant routine. Auren's house, his excruciating missions, his house again. I've never really had the chance to breathe properly since I've been staying with him; that's why I literally had to beg him to come to this pretty cafe. The barista comes in with my cup of caramel macchiato, and places it on the table. "Yay, thank you so much," I smile at the pretty redhead. She smiles right back at me, "Sure. Enjoy!" I take the cup to my lips, and take a long sip. The warm, milky smoothness hits my mouth, caressing my tongue. The caramel adds this buttery sweetness that makes me want to plunge myself in more macchiatos. The espresso does kick in a little, making everything so balanced in my mouth. "Ahh," I moan, throwing my head back in pleasure. "I need to leave that place more often. This is wonderful," I mumble, taking more sips. "Care if I join you, miss?" A gruff voice inte

Rheagar I strike the lighter, watching the flame dance slowly. Fire is beautiful. An unreal phenomenon that burns with passion, heat, and otherworldly air of hot aura. Oh how it ravages, and devours its prey, burning every skin, licking every wet drop of slick juice, reducing it to nothing but mere ash. I want to watch something burn. Rather, I want to watch someone burn. "Just wait until I get you, Auren," I touch the flame to the cigarette, drawing in slowly. The first drag burns my throat softly, hitting it with a painfully pleasurable heat right in the spot. "Boss, we've got some bad news," one of my men, Atleo, runs into my room. I breathe out the smoke, the puffy smoke curling in the cold morning air. "Shoot," I take in another drag. "Zarven is dead, boss." I choke on smoke at the news, my eyes temporarily going red. Smoke escapes through my nostrils, moist liquid gushing out afterward. "What the fuck?" I whip my head up, my eyes blown wide.

The doorbell rings, which catches my attention. I look in the direction of the door, "I thought he said he never had any visitors?" I place the box of donuts on the table, and force myself to stand up. I drag my feet towards the door. The visitor rings the doorbell again, more insistently this time. I knit my brows together in a frown. "Who the heck is it?" I look through the peephole in the door. Standing outside is Auren's brother, Zarven. I hesitate for a second in opening the door. All of a sudden, I feel this bad feeling engulf my chest the second I see him. "Who is it?" Auren's voice booms behind me. I nearly jump out of my skin

  • ENSNARED BY HIS WOLF    A fragment of her soul

Asha I flutter my eyelids open. A ray of sunlight hits my face, and I squint my eyes shut. Ugh. I manage to open them again, this time, I sit up, allowing them adjust to the light. I look around the room, my senses still a bit jumbled up. They land on Auren who's reading a newspaper. "Good morning," I mumble, rubbing my eyes. He just grunts a response, and nods. I roll my eyes. Typical Auren. "Time to go brush my teeth," I whisper, throwing the sheets off my body. I slide my feet into my flip flops, getting ready to stand up. "Asha. Hold on." I look over my shoulder, "Yes?" "I would like to discuss something with you," he raises a teacup to his lips, and sips. "What's the matter?" I knit my brows together in a frown. "Yesterday, I went to a water nymph." What's a water nymph? "What is a that?" I scratch the back of my head. He grimaces at me, "You can't be that dumb." "Just because you know what it is, and I don't, doesn't make me dumb."

  • ENSNARED BY HIS WOLF    Finding his answer

Auren I slide my hands into my trench coat as I reach the riverbed. A shaky exhale leaves my lips as I watch the moonlight shimmering on the glassy water. "I'm here now. You can come out," I breathe out. The water ripples at the center. Vibrations shoot from the water, and straight to my core, making me all the more irritated. "Just come out simply, will ya?" I hiss through my teeth, rolling my eyes. A slender figure, slowly emerges from the water. Flowing black hair reaching her waist, and covering her eyes. A piece of shimmering fabric is wrapped around her chest, and hips, exposing her perfectly sculpted core. Her skin is almost as pale as the moon's. "Lyra," I stoop down and reach out for her hand. She gives it to me, and I gently kiss her knuckles. She is Lyra, a river nymph. "You rarely visit me, Auren. So I'm supposing whatever is behind your visit is something that has shaken you real bad," she smiles sweetly at me, placing her hands close to my feet.

  • ENSNARED BY HIS WOLF    Scared of the dark

Asha "Asha?" Auren calls. I don't respond. I just sit there frozen in place. It's dark. Like really dark. Jet black dark. I can't see a thing. It wasn't this dark when I was thrown into that room with Auren, or even when we got stuck in the middle of nowhere. At least, I could see some stuff. But this is not the case. I hate this kind of dark. I hate the memories associated with it. I never want to be in a dark room. The goddess knows the trauma that followed each time I was in a dark room. I hear the stove being turned off. "Let me go check the wires; something must have gone wrong with them," he says, and I hear his footsteps shuffling for the door. "Auren wait! Don't leave me here!" I cry out in panic. I hear his footsteps pause, "Is something wrong?" "I- I'm scared of the dark," I admit, my bones trembling as though a block of ice were shoved through my throat. "You're a werewolf. Why would you be scared of the dark?" An amused chuckle leaves hi
