All the sass I’d pumped into that last impulsive response floated into thin air and I was suddenly trembling under his grasp.

From the murderous look in his eyes, I could tell that he was raging with anger and that sent bouts of fright through me because I knew he was capable of ending my life in a fit of rage. In fact, the grip on my neck that seemed to tighten every two seconds was enough proof.

Logan was nothing if not a psychopathic unhinged hybrid.

I’d come to that conclusion from the inhumane way he was worsening my suffering by the second while looking completely unmoved by my pain. His gaze was locked with mine as he continued to restrict my airflow and all I could do was struggle to pathetically breath through my mouth.

“You will never be anything but a conniving, poverty stricken bitch to me and it disgusts me to think that you’ve grown a shred of audacity to address me as you please because you’ve clawed your way into my home,” he growled angrily in my face.
