CHAPTER 14: MISS GIFT, WHY ARE YOU CRYING?

In less than five minutes, I was at my company's branch. The workers, who had been laughing and chatting, scrambled to their desks the moment they saw me. Their abrupt silence spoke volumes; they already knew who I was. Though I had never worked at this branch before, my online meetings with all the staff had ensured they recognised me. I smiled at them as I walked to my office on the twelfth floor.

Settling into my chair, I picked up the office phone and summoned my manager. Glancing at the newspapers on my desk, I flinched when I saw my face on the front page.

"MISS BILLIONAIRE, MOTHER OF FASHION, MISS GIFT, VISITS PEARL PACK TO STITCH PRINCESS CATHERINE'S FIFTH BIRTHDAY DRESS." I hadn’t expected this. I smiled, but as I returned the newspaper to the table, something else caught my eye. I picked it up again.

"Is it true that our Alpha is into her, or is it just rumors?" read the headline below the main story. The article was accompanied by a picture of Alexander holding my hand at t

GIFT’S POVI had been standing here for an hour now, and she still hadn’t shown up.The wind whispered through the trees, brushing against my cheek like a cold warning. Maybe she changed her mind. Maybe she never intended to come. But no—she told me to meet her here, deep in the woods, far from any eyes or ears. That meant something. My phone buzzed inside the tiny pocket sewn into my underwear. I reached for my earpiece, clicking it into my ear with a sharp motion."Have you seen her?" Vivian’s voice came through, tight and concerned—for the fifth time tonight.I straightened my jacket and exhaled. "No. She hasn’t come.""You need to come back. It’s late. The woods aren’t safe—""She’ll come," I cut her off softly, my voice steady. "I can feel it.""Then let me send Thomas and Richie to—""No, Vivian!" I snapped, louder than I meant to. My voice echoed through the trees, cold and final. "Trust me.""If you do that, you’ll ruin everything. She’ll run.""She’s already running, Danny. S

GIFT’S POV“I-It’s not like that. Don’t worry, I’m fine,” I forced a smile, even though inside, I was clawing through waves of trauma.Because this… this was exactly how Alexander had arranged my pups’ welcoming party.Only, that party hadn’t been meant to welcome them into a home. It had been a trap—a show—to brand them as someone else’s children.I remembered that day vividly. How I screamed. How I fought to be heard. How I told everyone they were stealing my pups from me. But no one listened.Instead, Alexander stood tall before them all, declaring that I was insane. That I wasn’t of sound mind. That I had no right to claim the Alpha’s pups. That was the past.I refused to let that pain rule my future.I sucked in a shaky breath, clenched my fists at my sides, and turned to the decorated entrance ahead. Bright balloons and flowers framed the doorway like a celebration of rebirth. If only Katherine and Nathaniel were here to see this. To witness their new home.“It’s beautiful,” I w

  • ENTANGLED WITH THE ALPHA TWINS   CHAPTER 49: A NEW HOUSE

GIFT’S POV“Hurry up, Enoch!” I called over my shoulder, not glancing back as he trailed behind me with my suitcases. My eyes remained locked on the mansion ahead.I couldn’t believe it. My mansion. My own house near Alexander’s pack. After everything, here we were. The hotel had worn out its welcome. It was too small, too cold, and not enough for me and the pups. I wasn’t ready to rush them out of this pack just yet. I would take my revenge first, and when the time came, I’d bring them here—this would be our safe place until we were ready to leave the country for good.“It’s beautiful, ma’am. Congratulations.” Enoch’s voice pulled me out of my thoughts. I hadn’t realized I was zoning out. I nodded slowly, my eyes still glued to the grand house before me.It wasn’t as large as the packhouse, but it wasn’t small either. A three-story cream-painted structure with a tall, black gate. Clean, elegant lines. Sharp edges softened by landscaped hedges. It felt…right.“Thank you,” I said, turn

DANIELA/GIFT’S POV“Dammit! That was close!” I paced left and right inside the house, my hand running through my dark, neck-length hair. My heart throbbed violently inside my chest, like it wanted to break out and scream for air. I had already removed the fake brunette wig from my head and was now staring at my reflection in the mirror.Alexander was so close to recognizing me earlier, and that was not good—not good at all. I couldn’t expose myself like that. Not now. Not when I was so close. I had a mission: to take my pups away from him. To do that, I needed more than just desperation—I needed influence. I needed strategy.Alexander was an Alpha, and in our culture—shifter culture—Alphas were respected and feared. Even if one had wealth or status, it couldn’t match the power and weight an Alpha’s title carried. I needed proof, support, and the alliance of other Alphas to stand with me when I filed a case against both Alexander and Laura for what they did to me five years ago.I alre

  • ENTANGLED WITH THE ALPHA TWINS   CHAPTER 47: HE SAW US?

ALEXANDER’S POVWhat the hell was wrong with me? I was losing it, and this was not who I was. I had always been in control of my emotions, never letting them cloud my judgment. But ever since Gift reappeared, everything had started crumbling. The past—the one I had buried so deep—came clawing back to the surface like a beast refusing to be tamed.Daniela.Her name alone sent a sharp pang through my chest. It was like a curse that refused to leave me, a wound that never truly healed. And now, with every look, every movement, every damn breath Gift took, I saw her. I felt her. I remembered everything I did.Sighing, I turned and followed.*****LAURA’S POVI hated her. Hated her to my very bones, and I knew she was aware of it. She had to be. How could she not? The air between us crackled with unspoken words, with loathing so thick it could suffocate.Everything about her reminded me of Daniela—that pathetic low-life Omega who never knew her place. Even when I tried to erase her from ex

  • ENTANGLED WITH THE ALPHA TWINS   CHAPTER 46: DAMMIT

ALEXANDER’S POVAfter thirty minutes, everything concerning the pups was over. They had cut their cake, their laughter ringing through the air as they received gifts from friends, family, business partners, investors, and even Alphas and Lunas from other packs who had come with their children to celebrate. Now, with the festivities winding down, Laura had taken the pups to their room. A part of me hesitated to let her take them, but I pushed the thought away. Maybe I was overthinking. But something about Laura unsettled them, and I couldn’t ignore it any longer. The way their tiny hands clung to me before she led them away, the way their eyes darted toward me as if asking for reassurance.I needed to find someone else—someone I could trust—to care for my pups. Not Rose. Not the maids. Someone whose loyalty would be to me alone. I would make arrangements soon.Exhaling sharply, I turned back to the guests, scanning the room. Most of the pups had been taken home, leaving only the adults
