LOGINRylan’s POV“Alright… there is no time to waste.” His voice echoes through the room. “Rylan, hand her the picture,” he orders.“Yes, sir,” I answer, delight curling through my tone. Of course, Nerissa’s downfall is my happiness, and I will bask in it thoroughly. Without wasting another second, I extend the envelope toward her.She hesitates, her eyes flicking between my hand and my face. “What picture?” she asks, confused but still as arrogant as ever. “What games are you playing, Charles?” she spits through gritted teeth.“Have it, Luna,” I sneer, my voice dripping with mockery. “You should take a look first.”She hisses and snatches the envelope from me. She mutters about being busy as she dips her hand inside and pulls out the picture. The moment her eyes land on it, the words die in her mouth.“What?!” she snaps, her eyes wide, her mouth hanging open. Her hands tremble visibly before tightening around the picture. She looks at Father, her chest rising and falling with barely restr
Rylan’s POVMy expression falters slightly at the seriousness in his voice. “What’s that?”Father takes a deep breath before he speaks again. “I will be manipulative a little,” he says, and I can hear the sadness in his voice. “About Nerrissa.”I take a step closer, confusion settling deep inside me. “What is it about Nerrissa?”He grabs an envelope on a stool nearby and hands it over to me.Without asking questions, I reach into the envelope and pull out a picture. My eyes widen as I stare at the picture intensely. I can’t help but think that I must be seeing it wrongly. Then, when I realize that I’m not, my mouth falls open.It is a picture of Nerrissa kissing Alpha Leon. That same arrogant and annoying Leon.“Nerrissa is cheating on you?!” I snap, my fingers tightening around the picture. She is not only a manipulative witch, but also an adulterer.Father shrugs, pressing a palm to his face. “I don’t think she is cheating, though. But you know they have been meeting frequently to d
Rylan's POV "Lira—" I start to speak, but the word curls up and stays just at the tip of my tongue, as I watch her leave. She is furious and she has every right to be. Seraphina thinks only about herself and doesn't care about anyone else. But with Lira now, she's crossed a boundary and I will make sure she pays, together with her new partner in crime, Chloe. My face contorts into a small frown, as the thought of the both of them working together rings through my head. Nothing good will come out of that. With a small sigh rippling through my lips, I get into my car, and drive off, heading for the castle. As I drive, my eyes stay on the road, my mind wanders back to Lira. Seraphina's plan is to ruin her, I can see that. If I wasn't there, then only the goddess knows what the outcome would have been. I thank the goddess that I didn't waste time driving when I saw pictures of Seraphina and Chloe trending. That's when I know they're up to no good,
Lira. "It's been five seconds and you're still standing?" Chloe says through clenched teeth, as her voice drips with venom. Oh, they are really serious. My eyes dart everywhere, taking in the looks that the people around are throwing at me; some weird, annoyed and even irritated. I look at Mr Clinton, and he takes his eyes away immediately. A bile rises in my throat, and I swallow, trying to come up with the perfect answer for these two evil bitches. "I—" My words curl back in my mouth. "Do I really have to do that?" Seraphina's head snaps forward, as her face squeezes in false anger. The thought of dragging her hair as it falls over her shoulder, crosses my mind but I shove it aside. That will only make things worse. "Yes!" She snaps loudly. "Oh, I put the call through." Once again, I have to let my enemies win again. My wolf fights deep inside me, trying to come out, but I calm her down as I take a deep breath. No matter what, I have to consid
Lira’s POVChloe cries out, “Why did you want to kill me, Lira?” She lifts the spoon that has a cockroach on it. “Everyone, she wants to kill me,” she announces loudly. My mouth hangs open in utter disbelief. What the fuck is she saying? Why would I want to kill her by adding a cockroach to her food? Wouldn’t that be too obvious, even if I wanted to kill her for real?“Wh—what are you saying, Chloe?” I ask, my voice trembling under the weight of my shock. “You know I would never add a cockroach to your food, right?”She leans closer to me, then her lips curl into a dangerous smirk. “Yes, I know you would never do that,” she whispers, her voice filled with so much delight, like she has just fulfilled a long-time dream. “But they don’t know that, and they would believe whatever two powerful princesses say over a lowlife waitress. So, darling… enjoy the show.”She pulls back and lets out a guttural cry that echoes through the room. “What have I ever done to you, Lira?” Her eyes water ins
Lira’s POV“There are customers at table eight,” Maya says, dropping some dirty plates into the sink and already heading out to attend to another customer. “Go and attend to them.”The restaurant is especially busy today, to the extent that we haven’t caught a break since we resumed this morning. In fact, we are short-staffed, and Mr. Clinton has already put out an employment notice online for those who are interested.“Alright…” I call after her. “I’ll just drop the milkshake for the customer at table ten and head there immediately.”“Here,” the barista says, handing me a tray of milkshakes. “Be careful.”“Thank you,” I murmur and move carefully out of the kitchen toward the restaurant.I walk toward table ten, which is at the center of the room, before heading to table eight at the far end of the room.I already have a professional smile on my face, but it disappears instantly when my eyes land on the duo in front of me. Breath seizes in my lungs completely as I watch them gossip an
