CHAPTER 83

ISABELLE’S POV

Hot water drops on my skin in tiny continual splatter. I don’t even remember how long I’d been in here since I got back from Christopher’s office. Twenty? Thirty minutes? I’d lost track.

My shoulders ache from repeated action. I scrub harder in bid to wash away every trace of him on my body. I can still smell his cologne and that gives me more reason to wash more.

It wasn’t until my skin started to sting that I now felt a semblance of being clean.Tears come down my cheeks with a violent sob that rips directly from my chest. I slump to the floor of the shower, letting water cascade over me as though it could wash away this heavy feeling of shame.

Every form of dignity I once felt had now vanished. “Stupid! Idiot! Asshole!….” I cursed, throwing blows at the tiled walls with that loser in my mind. Afterall, this was all I could do. Rain curses even when he had nothing to lose.
